Ann Romney Dodges Breast Cancer Bullet

Talk about a close call!

Ann Romney today had a lump removed from one of her breasts after a routine mammogram discovered a suspicious presence in her chest.

Rather than wait and see what would be, Romney and her doctors decided to take decisive action and go ahead with surgery. And good thing, because the lump turned out to be precancerous, and the removal may have saved Mrs. Romney’s life.

Romney, wife of failed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, released a statement today celebrating the preventative action:

It is technically not cancer but rather pre cancer, as it has not become invasive. Mitt and I feel fortunate to have caught this so early. And it reminds us how important it is for a women to have regular mammograms.

You hear that, girls?! Be sure to keep an eye on yourselves, because we don’t want any of you leaving us!

Thank God it was found and yes, “A great reminder” to get those mammograms. October is national breast cancer awareness month so this along with being my birthday month, is always my reminder.

That poor woman has already had some serious health issues. She’s battled Multiple Sclerosis for quite a number of years. I wish her well.

This is interesting, and about time: http://www.sciencedaily.com/videos/2008/0801-blood_test_for_breast_cance… It’s on all sides of my family so with 4 daughters, and 4 granddaughters, plus the men in the family, and I have had it 2 times, I’m on this every minute. Notice www.detectcancerearly.org
