Sad to say that even here on the Wow site, there are those already embracing this hateful lie-infested publication and urging others to read it. Here is a quote from the swamp posted on one of the Edwards threads: “You must read a book titled “Obama Nation” by Jerome Corsi, PHD — it might be of help to you. By the way, this is not your usual “tell all” book. Mr. Corsi has all his facts well documented.” “…might be of help” indeed. Help to perpetuate the organized smear campaign so carefully crafted to keep the American voters ignorant and filled with fear. I came late to that discussion and was extremely grateful to note that several other voices had been quick to speak up and post references to identify the true nature of the smear device, and its source. This Corsi endeavor reminds me of a tongue-in-cheek post where the person using the alias “Rush L.” noted that he just loved it when rumor and innuendo were floated as truth. He pointed out that it takes “10x” the time and energy to disprove the lies than to plant them. I hope that anyone who values the truth is taking plenty of vitamins, because the slime machine never sleeps. And thank you to Wow for posting this topic.

me thinkest thou dost protesteth too much….from my experience only a guilty person denies, denies, denies…tone it down, barak….IF you’re innocent, the truth will prevail…

Which is better - to defend one’s self against lies and false statements and, in doing so, give the lies more coverage … or to ignore them? I think the Obama campaign was right to respond immediately in a crisp fact-oriented way. Now, Obama needs to offer a topic that is non-defensive and helpful to his campaign. Hopefully, this week he’ll announce his VP choice and that will give the media something new and positive to talk about.

Interesting reading for the KKK and American Nazi Party.” Racism is being hidden behind a multitude of various forms of sanctimonious, self-righteously indignant justifications and rationalizations. When they run out of any trace of an iota of anything tangible that they can twist around to hang it on (like the pic of Obama in the native African dress that they twisted into a turban) they make something up out of thin air. If the last eight years and this resulting chasm between the two political philosophies have done nothing of benefit for this country or the world, at least it could be viewed as a good anthropological study into just how thin the veil of enlightened civilization really is. Think about it, for the last eight years this country has been ruled by people like Karl Rove, Rush Limbaugh and this Corsi person. That there are people who believe what these kinds of people are saying and doing is somehow not only right but righteous and want it to continue is all the explanation we need of how despots like Hitler, Mao, Kim Jong-il, ect, manage to take control of countries and manipulate them to their will. We read and hear about those dictators and shake our heads in bafflement at how the people of those countries could have allowed themselves to be manipulated and brain washed into bowing to them. And most of us don’t even see that it’s been happening incrementally here in the good old USA for the last eight years. Unless a lot more people wake up and see reality they will continue to do it through the next four and by that time they may just be powerful enough to stay in control.

Interesting to read the responses here. Jerome Corsi is called every name in the book and is a liar, but Scott McClellan is telling the truth an is a hero. No bias there.
