Biden Wants a Little Bit of That Palin Mojo (Video)

By The Staff at wowOwow.com

Ahhh, Joe Biden. We all knew he would provide us with a barrel of laughs and gaffes if he became vice president.

And, after what seems like months of being hidden away at an undisclosed location (err, or was that Cheney?), Biden has come back into the public eye. No sooner did that happen than he provided the press with a wonderful little tidbit over the fact that Sarah Palin is a far bigger star than he — for better or worse.

When the vice president-elect met in Philadelphia Tuesday with governors during the National Governors Association meeting, Biden was supposed to give a nod to the Alaska governor and his former campaign rival, by saying: "And Gov. Palin, your being here today sends a powerful message that when campaigns end, we are all partners in progress. Thank you."

But Biden went a little off script, instead saying (according to a press pool report of the event, which we here at wOw receive):

“And Gov. Palin, I want to thank you particularly. I might point out, as I told you, we walked in. Since the race is over, no one pays attention to me at all. So I’m — maybe you will walk outside with me or something later and say hello to me," prompting laughs, but an "especially loud one" from Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine (so says the pool report).

“It’s great to see you, governor," Biden continued. “And, by the way, I think it is — I hope, you know, the whole country can see the sort of a metaphor for the fact that this election is over and here we are … We’re all together … We’re all dealing with a common problem.”

It’s good to know our new vice president has a sense of humor.

While some might be crazy enough to make an attempt on our president, no one is foolish enough to want Biden in that role.

Oh Walter, lighten up. Things will get bad enough for both Obama and Biden so a little levity now should be appreciated.

Personally I’m glad he’s out again. The comment to Palin appears to have multiple aspects. He does have alot of experience to draw on and I personally would like the Vice President to be utilized better than in the past. The party of “inclusion” needs to recognize/utilize all members of the “team”

His Palin bit was funny. But if you take time to watch the whole video, Biden makes some very important points about how our economy has suffered.

I really believe that behind closed doors, all these people really do get along with each other. It’s like the opposition between football teams, they play hard and are out to win at any cost but, at the end of the game, they all backslap and say good game, no matter who wins.

I think that’s true Elaine, they are all in the same business. It is the audience that gets the most riled up.

I feel very secure knowing Joe Biden is a heartbeat from the presidency. I pray each day for Barack Obama’s good health and safety, but it is still good to know such an able and intelligent person is in the #2 spot.

DeBúrca: I feel very secure knowing Joe Biden is a heartbeat from the presidency.

LOL. Of course you would say that… right on cue.

Love his sense of humor, a very intelligent man with a twinkle in his eye. Seems to enjoy his life very much. If all of us could have the luck to live out and persue our “calling” so to speake, it would be a much happier world.

I have complete confidence in Joe Biden. Barack showed how much he values us when he chose him.

I’m happy with the Obama/Biden team. I thought it was nice that Joe even gave Sarah a mention as to being there. The comment was funny and not mean in anyway. You go Joe we all love you even if you’re not on TV making a fool of yourself!

(I’ll catch you know what for that comment, for sure)
