Bids Reach $3.7M for 22-Year-Old 'Natalie Dylan's' Virginity

By The Staff at wowOwow.com
"Natalie Dylan"

This 22-year-old brunette — who is auctioning off her virginity to pay for graduate school — is reportedly getting bids high enough to pay not just for school … but two homes in the country, a BMW and nearly everything on Mary Wells’s luxe list.

That’s right, the daughter of the conservative fourth-grade teacher (who goes by the pseudonym "Natalie Dylan") is claiming that the bidding has hit $3.7 million!

Can you believe it!? In this economy? Maybe we’re all in the wrong business. We kid, of course …

I find it hard to believe that a young woman willing to do this, especially in such a public manner… is still a virgin. This reminds me of the book “Memoirs of a Geisha”. We’ve come a long way baby…. or have we? I just hope that the high bidders are exposed, I’d love to know just what kind of guy would offer this much money.

This is not a real story wOw staff, please tell me you’re doing an early April’s Fools Day gag? Oh my Lord, what is going on with people lacking depth and souls? First we have the people who watch a young man commit suicide, Madoff and his ripping the rich and poor off alike without any remorse, the young girl that drowned her new born baby in a toilet….granted I know none of this is new, it’s happened in the past. But none the less it feels new, it feels like we (society) are losing our sense of morality and right vs. wrong. When did a female’s virginity become a bargaining chip? Did I just wake up from a 40 year slumber? People around me are changing faster than I can keep up with and in contrast I feel as if my morals and beliefs are antiquated.

Actually, using your virginity as a bargaining chip is far older than any western society. There have been points in history where that was a woman’s only bargaining chip (hell, there still are places in the world where this is true, unfortunately). Traditionally, the only way a man would insure that all the children his wife (or wives) had were his was by insuring that they never had sex with another man. He knows that if he marries a virgin, she’s not carrying another man’s child for him to raise. In my opinion, people are upset because of the shear amount of money she was offered. If she’d lost her virginity “cheaply” the prudes would pity her and the rest of us would simply welcome her to the club. But since she’s getting a sum which could set her up for life if she’s wise with it, she’s not a woman to be pitied and that throws the “save your virginity for marriage or you’ll be worthless” crowd into a tizzy. I wish I’d had that idea … unfortunately the internet wasn’t what it is now when I was a virgin.

Speaking as one of those prudes you refer to, I can tell you my concerns literally lie in the fact that she is prostituting herself. She is an incredibly beautiful young woman. And for reasons I won’t elaborate on, I can relate and understand that one’s beauty does not necessarily have anything to do with the number or quality of men that approach you for sex when you are young. So it very well be that she never met a guy when she was younger who was worthy of her losing her virginity to. But to now give it away for money is disgusting. She is a prostitute by any definition. I wouldn’t care if toothless, fat, bald homeless guy were to offer her a $1 for it, or a millionaire Robert Redford type straight out of the movie Indecent Proposal. It doesn’t matter if the funds will be used for getting a college education (as she is claiming) or to buy a rock of crack. She is just as guilty of prostitution as a woman on a street corner. The only difference is she is using the internet to sell her wares.

Certainly it’s prostitution. So what? This is simply further evidence that prostitution should be legal. Sex is the only thing in the world that we can give away for free, but we can’t sell. And what I find even weirder is that women can sell sex, so long as it is for dinner, a movie and some jewelry and that is perfectly legit. In any case, keeping prostitution illegal hurts many women in the US. There is no regulation of the industry regarding STDs, age or working conditions and it’s much physically riskier given that a prostitute who goes to the police will get arrested. Why is giving her virginity away for money any more disgusting than say, giving it up for lust? Personally I think our society has a weird virgin fetish, and the sooner we realize that virginity is not special and something to be fetishized, the better. After all, if no one cared about virginity I doubt she’d be able to fetch ~$3M for hers! (Though she’s cute enough she probably could get a fair chunk of change from that alone.)

There are so many things wrong with what you have posted it boggles the mind as to where to begin a response. First of all, I can’t think of any woman I know that is asked out on a date, or goes out for dinner, drinks a movie or receives a gift of jewelry that does so with it in her mind “Okay, he spent $23.95 on dinner and a drink so I’d better have sex with him tonight!” What are you saying RJB? That is a very antiquated thinking that women are truly nothing more than whores until they are married. During the dating phase we are suppose to “put out” after dates and gifts. Certainly if a man asks us out and we accept it couldn’t be because we like the guy, or want to get to know him. Surely it is because we are whores looking for free food or drinks. What kind of person thinks like that? Secondly, NO MAN (I stress the word Man) would pay 3 million for an act of sexual intercourse. Whomever the final “John” is, he is doing it for reasons that stretch far beyond sex, it has far more to do with publicity of some sort. On the subject of virginity, in my mind it is not a female vs. male topic. Virginity in and of itself is indeed sacred. It represents the first time you allow yourself to experience the most intimate act a male and female can engage in. There is NOTHING more intimate than allowing your sexual organs to combine with the opposite sex….nothing. Whether you’re male or female you will always remember the first person you allowed someone to get that close to you. You may not see the importance of that, however I would venture most people in the world, see the incredible responsibility that comes with that first time. Should prostitution be legalized? You say yes, I say no. Clearly you have a naive view of prostitution and have seen Pretty Woman one too many times. ABC and Diane Sawyer (look it up) did a wonderful piece on the real world of real prostitutes. It is a world of drugs, alcohol abuse, rape, physical abuse, torture, emotional issues and suicide; and that is only taking into consideration the women and young men who sell their bodies. The “Johns” are not only shattering their families with their infidelity, but they also put their spouses at risk for STD’s. Legalizing it will not regulate STD’s, how naive are you? Do you know how many idiot men there are out there that will pay a woman an extra $10 so he doesn’t have to wear a condom and the countless prostitutes who don’t value their lives, so the agree? You are allowed to have your opinions on these matters, just as I do. However as much as you may feel I am wrong, multiply that by a million times and then you’ll know how far off the mark I think you are.

There are women who weigh how money a guy has spent on them when it comes to how far they are willing to go carnally. In any case, that wasn’t the point I was making. The point was that it is perfectly legal outside of Nevada for a woman to consider this, but not to ask for the money outright. That seems strange to me. If there is a god, I doubt that She cares how many men or women I have had sex with. If She had wanted virginity to be sacred, She certainly went about it in a strange way. In any case, there is no evidence that it is sacred and by elevating it to such a place society has made things such as this auction possible. As for sex being the most intimate thing a couple can engage in, I would have to disagree. Are you married? I am. Living life with your spouse, learning about their dreams, their desires, their fears is intimate. Taking care of someone when they are hurt, sick or sad is intimate. Sex can be intimate, but it is far less intimate than what I described above. It is a natural function that people engage in because it feels good. I think it is you who are naive with regards to prostitution. It’s illegal in 49 out of the 50 states. Does that stop it? No. But making it illegal drives it underground. When prositution is underground, the prostitutes don’t go to the police when they get beat up, raped or abused. They can’t insist on protection. Read about the Prohibition in the 20s. Making alcohol illegal caused a huge number of problems and didn’t stop people from drinking. Legalizing prostitution DID regulate STDs in Nevada. Since 1988 when use of condoms was made mandatory, not a single sex worker has contracted HIV. Certainly an idiot man could offer to pay an extra $10 to not wear a condom, however, a brothel whom allows this to happen loses their license so they have many checks in place to prevent this. Is it perfect? No. However, the prostitutes are much better off in legal brothels than they are being street walkers. Not only are they protected, but if something goes wrong they can go to the police without fear. Returning to the example of alcohol, when was the last time you worried that the beer you purchased was something other than beer? WHen was the last time you worried about being killed or injured buying beer? When was the last time someone offered to sell you homebrewed beer? I imagine that the answer to all of these is “never” because it is legal and thus there is no benefit to anyone to sell beer on the blackmarket. Since selling sex is illegal everywhere but Nevada, there is a large benefit to sell sex on the blackmarket with all the problems that entails. I don’t just feel that you are wrong, I know that you wrong. This isn’t merely my opinion. This is fact that has been shown time and time again through history and culture. Keeping prostitution illegal has merely continued to make it a much riskier and harder life for the prostitutes in this country.

Well the bottom line on the prostitution debate is personally I would never date nor have sex with a man that I knew had sex with a whore. There is something that smacks of being hard up, for a man to have to pay for sex. I find men of this ilk are weak and pathetic, they are beneath me. And women who sell their bodies are broken emotionally and they allow men to take advantage of their flawed thinking. Sick people seeking out sick people for sex and distorted companionship. How pathetic.

Well, as a geek and a nerd I have a lot of sypathy for the “pathetic” and the “hard-up”. Fortunately, female geeks such as myself generally have a much easier time of it than our male peers, so this wasn’t really a problem for me. But I’ve known a number of good, intelligent guys who couldn’t get a date to save their lives. Ultimately everyone craves human contact (which is one of the many reasons purity pledges are stupid) and it seems a shame that guys with money who can’t get the contanct can’t pay to gain a little bit of normalcy in their lives. Would I date someone like this? Probably not. But I’d prefer to judge people based on who they are now rather than whom they were a decade ago.

Just when you think you have seen it all! Nothing surprises me today, most of the world and the people have no boundries when it comes to morals, one wonders what the future will be for the young ones!
