Bin Laden Calls for Jihad Against Israel for Gaza Offensive (Audio)

Osama bin Laden reminded us again today that not only is he not dead, he’s, unfortunately, still looking to start trouble.

The renegade Al-Qaeda leader released a new audio message this week calling for a jihad — or holy war — against Israel for its aggression in Gaza. He also accused Arab leaders of "avoiding their responsibility" to liberate Palestine.

The 22-minute message, bin Laden’s first since last May, was posted on a radical Islamist website. Although the authenticity of the tape hasn’t yet been confirmed, most reports say the speaker’s voice was similar to recordings that bin Laden has made in the past.

"There is only one strong way to bring the return of Al-Aqsa and Palestine, and that is jihad in the path of God," bin Laden said in the audiotape, referring to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. "The duty is to urge people to jihad and to enlist the youth into jihad brigades."

"Muslim nation, you are capable of defeating the Zionist entity with your popular capabilities and your great hidden strength — without the support of (Arab) leaders and despite the fact that most of (the leaders) stand in the barracks of the Crusader-Zionist alliance," he added. Always nice to hear from you, bin Laden — now, why don’t you retire? Or at least find a new hobby.

Actually, yes, they have known all along the vicinity that he’s in, but the geography is impossible. Plus, I have read about agreements between here and the Taliban going back to pre-9/11 days. In fact, going back to the Clinton days of ‘98. And, then, post 9/11, Bush said it wasn’t his top priority….http://thinkprogress.org/2006/09/14/barnes-osama/ Now, one wonders just how much of an effect it would have over the whole terrorist situation because of the fact that the Taliban is back to almost full strength.

Hello Miss Diana, Getting Bin Ladin at this time would make a Martyr of him and that, in these inflamed times would fuel an uprising that I sure would not want to see. i believe had they really wanted to get him prior to now, that they would have. He fueled the Bush agenda. I hope Obama understands what really facing us. To be a helping hand with bringing better living conditions would go a whole lot further in easing those willing to die for an endless cause. People (well except for the Government of Israel) do not usually bite the hand that feeds them… Thank you once again for a link to interesting articles.

This is but one of many reasons we should have concentrated our resources in the Afghan area rather than Iraq. A much bigger threat. And, making him a martyr was probably part of their decision. Plus, it’s an impossible terrain with hundreds of thousands of caves into mountains.

P.S. Forgot to say that I’m glad to see you back on board, Miss Jen.

Thank You Miss Diana! It is as interesting as always here in wOw. What you said about what we should have done…We should never have even gone into Afghanistan either. We could have sent in intelligence first and then just gone for Ladin. But that did not serve the Cheney Bush Agenda as far as Oil and going into Iraq. It was their goal from day one, even before 9/11….

Paul O’Neill said the very same thing about Iraq when he wrote his first book and it cost him his job as Sec’y of Treasurer. They were talking about Iraq within days of getting into the Oval Office.

I don’t think we found the guy yet? Sometimes I think Bush wanted to help him. It’s an impression that Bush gave me a couple of years ago.

Bin Laden, AKA the Bogie Man. Yeah, I really believe this. Within 6 months of 911 Bush went from “We’ll smoke him out….Dead or Alive” to “I really don’t care where he is.” Because, you know, the Bin Laden family is the third richest in Saudi….and long time business associates of the Bush’s so…..National Interest…vs…Personal Interest.. 3,000 dead Americans…vs…PersonalProfits. That’s not a tough decision for a Bush. It is total BS that he ever went after him. 8 years and couldn’t find him. Total BS. As he said, on videotape, he didn’t care where he was. Despite the earlier machismo rhectoric.

Hello Suzanna, It is nice to be back and reading your posts. Still in Carmel, or back in Carmel? I have been gone for quit awhile. Been preparing stuff for print. I think it as simple as if they had gotten him, He would not have been able to go into Iraq his goal from the first day he took office or most likely Chenny’s goals way before he took on the role of mouth piece. So AIG and Morgan are the companies that caused the Oil Prices this last summer! Then they get the Bailout . The primary insurance companies for Texas and Gulf oil rigs. We already know that everything in the Middle East really has to do with Oil in one way or another. It just seems that as more and more pieces become available that the Economics situation is really a big Ponzi Scheme on all the people in the world. With Texas Oil Corps. running it. Running the War machine too. Boy I sure Hope and Pray for Obama’s safety and that he is able to tackle the mounting problems that we have. Say Hello to the Beautiful Big Blue…I check the site your sent every once and awhile, Thank You for that.

Hi Jennifer! I was away elsewhere and didn’t want to return to San Francisco so googled a small hotel cottage here so somewhere to land…then decided to move back after being away ten years. Love it. What are you getting ready for print? That sounds interesting. “I sure Hope and Pray for Obama’s safety” Me, too.

Glad to hear you have landed in such a Beautiful area. Print, well I have a cover for a new Mag in London and a 155 Digital Art pieces that have been requested for one reason or another. Instead of sending my work out for print I am starting to print from home. I have a two week show for the City of Covington in April. I have to change the DPIs and resize , as well as experimenting with different paper effects. 5 days and counting!

We need to take the some amount of solace in knowing he is now speaking to a much smaller group of fanatics that he use to. His numbers of followers and those willing to blow themselves up in the name of all he believes is holy have dwindled. The small amount left however can still do a lot of damage, but we should all hope that more and more of these idiots have a V8 moments and stop and think “what the heck am I doing?”
