Bristol Palin: Abstinence-Only Isn't 'Realistic' (Video)

Sarah and Bristol Palin burned up the press this weekend.
First came a report on a new biography about Sarah, who last year ran for the vice presidency. The book, entitled Trailblazer: An Intimate Biography of Sarah Palin, delves into Palin’s political rise and, of course, her personal life, like how she knew of son Trig’s Down syndrome while she was pregnant, but kept it under wraps because she herself was unsure of how to handle a special needs pregnancy.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Bristol Palin, who had her own baby last December, gave her first interview to FOX News’s Greta Van Susteren this weekend. Much of the conversation, not surprisingly, revolved around the challenges of being a new mom.
"It’s not just the baby that’s hard. I’m not living for myself anymore," Palin says. But "I like being a mom. I love it … It is very challenging but so rewarding." She also said telling her parents about her pregnancy was "harder than labor."
"I couldn’t even say it, I was sick to my stomach," Palin says.
Both Bristol and Sarah Palin expressed skepticism about abstinence-only programs, which the Alaska governor supported when running for governor in 2006. "It sounds naive. Life happens," Sarah Palin said during a later interview with Van Susteren. "Truly, it can happen to anybody … Less than ideal circumstances but we make the most out of it."
"Everybody should be abstinent but it’s not realistic at all," added Bristol. "You should just wait ten years. It will be so much easier."

Meanwhile, Sarah Palin also had her own secret pregnancy for a while. A new biography of Palin — not authorized by the governor herself — says that her pregnancy with son Trig was almost discovered when one of her daughters found the prenatal ultrasound scan. Palin also knew Trig had Down syndrome but didn’t tell her other four kids until he was born on April 18.
"Not discussing the pregnancy with her daughters, she felt, would shorten the process and spare them from unwanted attention," according to Trailblazer: An Intimate Biography of Sarah Palin, by People Assistant Editor Lorenzo Benet, out today.

Marys: …an avatar with a uniform…
Anyone can wear a black vest with a white shirt. And speaking of avatars, don’t you think you’re a bit over the top impersonating the Blessed Virgin? I sincerely hope she wasn’t as cranky as you.

Marjorie,
Thanks for the common sense! This so called uniform is not even a uniform, it’s one of my own personal suits. What that ding bat who has no idea about what Corporate flying is, also doesn’t even realize…We don’t wear uniforms or any apparrel provided by our company. We purchase our own clothing, ‘suits’ bought by us. I will say this though, the money is very good and allows for us to dress nicely for our work, but is paid for by us as individuals. I generally wear three piece suits, as Corporate flying is on a far more professional level. Many times I’ll even wear a man’s tie with my suits (Very Annie Hall) LOL, but nonetheless, very professional.

Would that be God?
