Britney Spears's Dad's Christmas Bonus

Britney Spears’s dad — after tirelessly watching over his daughter to ensure she stays out of trouble — is getting a nice Christmas bonus.
A Los Angeles court yesterday signed off on a $6,000-a-month retroactive raise for Jamie Spears, who has had conservatorship of his daughter’s estate since February and is believed to have played a significant role in the pop star’s comeback. Britney’s dad was making $2,500 a week, but will now get $16,000 per month to cover his workload — and the salary will go retroactive from last January to November.
"He has been working extra hours related to various activities related to her music and her tour and activities necessary to the conservatorship," L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz said during Monday’s hearing.
In February, Jamie Spears left his job as a chef to oversee his daughter’s personal, medical and business concerns. After Spears divorced her husband and father of her two children, Kevin Federline, Brit’s life took a drastic turn for the worse and she snapped — in public — numerous times. Since the gavel wielders named Dad caretaker, though, her life seems to be back on track. She just released her sixth album, "Circus," which is being hailed as her resurgence. We’re sure both she and dad couldn’t be more proud.
