Candice Bergen and wowOwow Grace the Cover of 'Hampton Style' Magazine

Joni Evans

For those of us who are geographically impaired, i.e., who aren’t in East Hampton this summer, here’s our Candice, gracing the cover of Hampton Style magazine talking about her marriage, her career and her newest "bowstring" — wowOwow.com.

Oh, you know, it’s like SeaRanch, only with nightlife.

Sea Ranch with the Ram Horn symbol? That is funny. People move away from SR when they may need a hospital closer than 2 hours away. Do the Hamptons have a hospital?

Everyone--into the Rose Garden
Lovely old Further Lane, East Hampton, and Main Street with the Village Pond on one end Old Hook Mill at the other. But not like in the 60s-70s. Instead of tanned, blond children in the back of Muffy’s vintage MBZ station wagon with the English Sheepdog driving from the beach to the ice cream shop….it’s bling-bling…Malibu/Hollywood sur mer.

Just read the article. Candice has always been on of my favorites and the interview just proves I have made the right choice.

Ah! We are all a bit envious of Candice’s enduring charms. To have such bones!…My image of the Hamptons is the sandy coastal environs of a camp I went to on Gardner’s Bay when I was a teenager. Learned to sail that summer. Think the camp was an old farm and the barn had become the art studio. I ate a lot of blowfish, because no one else liked it & came back very trim because of all the swimming in the cold water. It was charming then. I am sure some multimillionaire has long since bought it up and put some absurdly magnificent architectural display on it - but I liked it the way it was. But I prefer funky, quiet places. They suit me better. I find the other to be exhausting, even if I do manage it.

This is such a lovely article that details an extraordinary career! Ms Bergen has always been one of my favourite actors and it was lovely to be able to read about her life and experiences. Ms Bergen has contributed so much to film and television - it is great to see magazines publishing stories about wonderful women, rather than the trashy trials of the ‘IT’ girls. The photographs are beautiful! Thank you for sharing this with us!
