I totally agree with you about the importance of doing all we can to help those less fortunate than us. I agree Candice. There is a saying, but for the grace of God go I. And giving is not all monetary. Time is the hardest to give, but there are so many places that could use our time, too!!

I think it’s wonderful that celebrities are becoming more conscious about charitable works, but what really makes me happy is that they now include their fans in charitable projects. People who wish to do good but are unsure exactly how to go about it, or who don’t have much money but a lot of time to give as someone said earlier. It unifies and brings people together to engage in group projects like this. It shows that celebrities are people too (you guys know what I mean I hope) and that they’re not just donating for the sake of saying “I donated to such and such” as a grandstanding gesture, but they really want to help people get involved as a team.

With respect, I don’t think it is anybody’s business to expect to find out how much a celebrity donates to a charity. Their money is their own, their salary is not paid for by tax payers. It is distasteful to advertise how much or little someone donates. I agree with Candice - it is so important to maintain our donations where possible.

In a ideal world I would agree with Candice,but Candice is a very wealthy woman in her own right and is married to one of the wealthiest real-estate moguls in the world. Hello?????
