Getting the vote. By far. Hard as it is to imagine.

The biggest setback is our inability to get the ERA passed.  If we can’t get it done with the number of Democrats in office now, it will never happen.   Such a straightforward guarantee — why aren’t legislators clamoring to pass it?

Section 1. Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

Section 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.

Section 3. This amendment shall take effect two years after the date of ratification

The right to vote.

Reality TV, I hate it when women look so damn dumb.

The smartest show in Reality tv is Little People, Big World. The mother is the smartest one on that show.

The right to vote - greatest achievement.

Setback - has to be reality tv shows like New York Housewives, The Girls Next Door (Hefner and the bunnies), Atlanta Housewives and Orange County Housewives.  Not all of us are rich, stuck up b*****s like those women.  Not all of us talk behind our friends’ backs like they do to get points.

Biggest setback:  Discussion by women about women with special attention being given the recent hostile, disappointing, hate remarks about Sarah Palin.  I’m still confused about that.

Candace, I took a personal day off from work today and was pleasantly surprised to see you on the Rachel Ray show. I’ve loved your work over the years and now I love the fact that you turned me on to this website. Wow, what a great find.  I will pass it along to all of my "middle-aged(?)" friends. Gotta run and enjoy my day off.  Keep up the good work.

loved seeing you on Rachel Ray. I have always liked you and  think your a beautiful woman. I think the right to vote and work  outside the home and be involved in politics and the possibility of someday being a woman president.

Great site! I happened to catch a bit of Rachel Ray before I headed off to work this morning. When you came on, I decided to watch a bit more as I have always enjoyed your work. So glad I did. I am so excited to find this site. Finally, a site that speaks to me and what a large part of my life has been about.

I know it is aimed at women our age, however, I think I will tell my 17 year old daughter to check it out, too. A chance to provide a little education without preaching.

Greatest moment-I agree, right to vote.

Other great moments: for fun…Billie Jean beating Bobbie Riggs in "The Battle of the Sexes" in 1973, the US women’s ‘96, ‘99 and ‘04 Olympic soccer team victories which changed women’s sports in the US almost as much as Title IX; more serious….the passage of Title IX, Sandra Day O’Connor’s appointment as first female Supreme Court justice,  Roe v. Wade, reliable, safe contraception for women…

Biggest Setback-I agree with Barbara-inability to pass the ERA. Maybe now will be the time….

I agree with you, Candice. And you looked GREAT on Rachael Ray! Thanks for getting me to check out this website! I want to add that one of the things I’m not proud of and has been a big setback to women and men is this country’s inability to give equal rights to EVERYONE…including the right to marry. And don’t get me started on how we say we value our children but still don’t make it easy for women to work AND have their children cared for in a way that gives us peace of mind. It was a problem for me in the 60’s and it is still a problem. progress? …comes slowly and with a lot of blood and sweat. ERA, yes!!

biggest advancement to Women was letting us join the Military, it gave us the empowerment to get to where we want to be and the training needed to get there.  The biggest setback is the lack of medical for female veterans.  I speak from experience.
