wOw! Our Sheila and Candice Have Been Nominated for Emmy Awards

Joni Evans

Dear wOw Friends:

Wonderful news. Our fabulous Sheila Nevins and Candice Bergen have both been nominated for Emmy Awards. Sheila has two nominations: one for outstanding children’s program for "Classical Baby (I’m Grown Up Now): The Poetry Show" and one for outstanding nonfiction special for "Alive Day Memories: Home From Iraq." Sheila was executive producer for both. Candice was nominated for best supporting actress in a drama series. For those of you who don’t know, Candice plays Shirley Schmidt on the hit ABC show "Boston Legal." We are absolutely thrilled for both of these wOw women. Congratulations, Sheila and Candice!

The 60th Primetime Emmy Awards will air September 21 on ABC. We’ll be watching and cheering our wOws on!

XOX,

Joni

Whoa! congrats you two; Alive Day Memories was astoundingly good, Sheila—wish they would have done something like that 40 years ago. Superb job on that one.

Sheila and Candice, Thanks so much for your contribution to this site and our entertainment. Sorry Sheila, but I couldn’t watch Alive Day Memories - my son was over there at the time and it would have done me in. I appreciate you guys.

Fantastic news for Shelia and Candace…two beautiful, talented and inspiring women. Won’t your mantels need reinforcing? Between the two of you I count, nine Oscars, 18 Emmys, 22 News and Documentary Emmys, 18 George Foster Peabody awards, 2 Golden Globes… Gee, this Emmy looks like it was turned into a bedside reading lamp. “That ain’t right”, as David Letterman would say: http://z.about.com/d/tvdramas/1/0/X/R/emmyAward.jpg
