Candice Bergen: Over My Head

Candice Bergen
Thought our Liz had an intriguing take. As always. I, like many, would vote Oprah. No contest. And Condi Rice, who seems to have passed through an earlier sinister phase into someone more benign and yet more powerful. Then I was going to vote Hillary or Nancy but Liz caught my attention with the Angelina idea. So I’ll leave it to split between the three of them. With Michelle Obama hopefully taking a slot. Oh. And Judith Martin’s is simply way over my tiny head. I’m from LA, let’s not forget.

Oh, Candice, she’s just talking about the Valkyries (Freyja, Gunnr, Róta, Skuld and them) Candice, and the Norns. You know…. Or Greta, Ingrid, those guys….

What about Shirley Schmidt?! ;-) I will definitely be watching ABC tonight at 9pm Central.

Me, too, Kryssi. I have Tivo set, the wine chilled, and will turn off the telephones. To paraphrase an old ad, NOTHING comes between me and my Boston Legal!

Re: Angelina Jolie — again, I recommend her book “Notes from My Travels” for anyone looking for a quick, but fascinating read. Perfect for a plane trip to Europe or cross country. It details her early travels for UNICEF and the poverty she encountered. It was written several years ago, but the person we see now…helping in such tremendous ways…came from these initial experiences. Her acceptance of such personal responsibility toward humanity is deeply inspiring. Shirley Schmidt, I consider my guilty pleasure…the ONLY show my husband and I make the time to watch outside of news programs each week!

Candice First, I apologize for misspelling your name all over the threads. It is a hard question to answer, but fun. You are a great favorite and will always stay that way.
