Will Cindy McCain Foxtrot on 'Dancing With the Stars'?

Cindy McCain on 'Dancing'?

(Pic above was digitally created)

Cindy McCain’s dream to Foxtrot on "Dancing With the Stars" almost came true — until husband John McCain burst her bubble because it would have been "an even worse decision" than choosing Sarah Palin for his running mate, claim the gossips over at Page Six.

Our impeccably placed source says, "Just before Thanksgiving, Cindy McCain started talks with producers to apper as a dancer on the show. She wanted to do it very badly." But this week, Sen. McCain "put the kibosh on it." Reps for the show and McCain didn’t return the calls.
Since McCain lost the election, he has kept a distance from his vice-presidential running-mate pick. And there’s speculation that the governor of Alaska was snubbed for an Obama Inaugural Dinner honoring John McCain … Intestesting.

As for Mrs. McCain wanting to dance with the stars, we have our doubts. She seems far too dignified for such shenanigans. But, hey, what do we know? Cindy McCain could very well be footloose and fancy free!

I also have my doubts, she never sought the public’s attention and I can’t believe she would choose a public forum where you are openly soliciting judgment of your performance. Just doesn’t ring true to me.

Tee, I’m with you on this. Cindy has always been her own woman and will no doubt continue to do her own thing. She doesn’t strike me as someone who would seek validation of this type. Hey - love your avatar, too! I adore Jack Russell Terrorists - I keep wondering when mine will suggest mixing up martinis.

ROTFLMAO! Jacks are the best, I was a little hesitant at first but Bella has wrapped my heart! I now understand why their owners are so loyal to the breed. I’ve always loved terriorists, my first was a wired hair girl wild child tomboy and then I rescued an Australian boy, my little Napoleon who I recently lost to Cushings. Bella totally approves of martinis because they keep me at home! Tell me more about your experience with Jacks or others…

I am a dog person and always have been. Dogs always approach me wherever I am - they must be able to spot an ear scratcher from quite a distance! I have had my Jack for 8 years - we are the usual successful second owners. She was 18 months when we got her - so much fun and so intelligent! She is not very social, but she loves all of us and to me that’s all that matters. There’s nothing like answering an unwanted doorbell with 16 lbs. of nasty tucked under your arm - ‘sorry to bother you! Bye!’ ;)

I agree with you Tee Zee, she never seeked the limelight during the election, I can’t see her wanting it now.

Catherine! … who’s the doll in your avatar? Do you have a history with terriers?

Tee Zee, American Pitbull Terriers yes. I do Pitbull rescue. The dog in my avatar is one of my female Pits, Jersey is her name. That photo was done at a fundraiser for the Pit rescue, there were several backgrounds to choose from but I felt Pawsmopolitan suited her best, she is such a diva! I have worked with “Jacks” in the past, one of the most fun entertaining dogs on the planet, albeit a tad to “energized” for me. I stopped with obiedience work, and focus strictly on rescue and rehab of Pitbulls. I took a break from it for awhile, for personal reasons, but I’m back in the game now. At the moment, I have 2 Rotties and 3 Pits of my own, and as of tomorrow I will have 3 foster pups as well.

Rotties and Bullies what a home! Of course, I’m partial to the pit bulls, I’ve known so many sweethearts. With 3 fosters on the way, you are a hero!!! My neighbor has Rotties and works with a local rescue of the breeds and their founder/trainer Pam who coached me in taming my Aussies dictatorial behavior. Keep up the great work!

Thank you Tee Zee, I love what I do, it is very rewarding when you can earn the trust and love of a dog that has been abused and neglected. It can be hard on the bank account at times, but it’s worth every single penny.

After reading about Roberta McCain in Vogue, I’m thinking that she would be the most likely Mrs.McCain to give this venue a try!

I’ll second that,…call me Roberta is a hoot! “The less said, the sooner mended. Have you heard that one?” What a great lady…

I only wish that her trip cross country in the Mercedes was filmed!

I don’t believe a word of it…Cindy McCain wouldn’t cheapen herself by “dancing with the stars.” We have plenty of people dancing in the streets right now enough to cheapen the Office of the President of the United States for the first time in history. I’m sure this is not what President Obama and his lovely First Lady had in mind.
