I think Joan has it totally right. Furthermore, the "equity" argument — that guys can have children after 70 so why not women — doesn’t wow me either. Having the baby is the least of it; raising the baby is the challenge.

If the woman is able too care for the baby, I say more power to her. But she should also deal with the fact, a lot of men do not want too pay support, for a child with a young woman, she had better have her own money.
