Cynthia McKinney, Others, Turned Back From Gaza Mission

Cynthia McKinney loves a good challenge.

The forrmer congresswoman, who this year ran for president on the Green Party ticket, attempted to sway Barack Obama and the world yesterday when she and 16 others attempted to deliver medical supplies to the Gaza Strip, which Israel has been attacking for the past four days. The activists, organized by Free Gaza Group, announced their trip a few days ago, but were turned back yesterday by an Israeli military boat. Fox News provides the adventurous details:

… McKinney, unimpeded by the "closed military zone" imposed by Israel, was among 16 people aboard a medical supply boat that collided with an Israeli naval ship Tuesday as it tried to enter coastal waters around Gaza.

The yacht, owned by the U.S.-based Free Gaza Movement, was reportedly carrying 3.5 tons of medical supplies donated by Cyprus. A press release from the group claimed "several Israeli gunboats intercepted the Dignity; she was heading on a mission of mercy to Gaza." They said the Israeli military fired machine guns into the water in an attempt to stop the Dignity’s progress.

Israeli officials admitted "physical contact" with the boat, but say they only took such measures after the yacht failed to heed its radio warnings. McKinney and the others were then sent on their way back to Lebanon, from whence it came. They will reportedly make another attempt.

I could jump on a website for the other side & list all the atrocities committed by the Jewish side too. Because Catherine—as you MUST BE AWARE—many many many more Palestininas have died & been driven out than vice versa. I believe the ratio is 6 to 1. SIX TO ONE GIRL. I know you know that. So what you’re trying to do here by listing all of those tragedies for Jews is to mislead others into thinking its all them. That was a poor effort at trying to be funny also Catherine—don’t fall all over yourself trying too hard to run me down while you & your copy cat buddy play slap tag. You know beside facts, there are opinions & in depth analysis all over the web. Because that is how Jews have shut the voice of the world off for a long time—intimidate them with name calling—accuse them of anti-semitism—because of the Holocaust—which was a terrible thing—they think they can play that card forever. It couldn’t be that there is truth in all this—its got to becalled “hatred” of Jews. People only hate what a small portion of Jews are doing—-most Jewish people are very good people & want peace. I have in no way tried to absolve myself in voicing my opinion of you to you. Again I stand behind my opinion. Lucky for you that WOW, deleted many of your posts, because had more people read what you posted, I think you would find that many people, whether they agree with Israel or not, would have voiced concern over the tone of your posts. The fact that they were deleted speaks for itself. I do not accuse people of being Anti Semites when they criticize the Jews, I call people anti semites when they criticize the Jews, using old and familiar stereotypical rhetoric spawned from the days of Hitler. I have stated that I do not always agree with actions taken by Israel, however once again, I maintain my opinion that when met with “military aggression”, they have ever right to retaliate. On the Sun morning news, after meet the press, they said most countries IN THE WORLD are calling for a cease-fire & the UN condemned Israel’s actions, Catherine. EXCEPT THE US DID NOT—-geez—I wonder why its just the US that has not called for a cease-fire & condemned the ground attack on Gaza? Andrea Mitchel said someone needs to reign Israel in because they have no “end game” with this attack. Still, I greatly resent the way you deleted many of my factual posts—especially the ones re all the Jewish people in media—these are facts, not lies. What you did was not right.
