David Letterman Confronts Katie Couric About John McCain (Video)
'Late Show with David Letterman'
David Letterman did a do-over interview last night with Katie Couric.
Apparently, the CBS late-night comedian had a "brain synapse misfiring" when Couric appeared on his show on Wednesday and he failed to confront her about the John McCain interview mishap — the one where McCain said he was rushing back to Washington to fix our economy but instead sat down for an exclusive interview with the CBS Evening News anchor. It was pretty surprising on Wednesday when Letterman didn’t mention it — considering he ranted nonstop for days after McCain ditched his scheduled September 24 visit.
So after the New York Post poked fun of Letterman the next morning, the funnyman mustered up the courage to phone Couric during Thursday’s show.
