Did Australian Water Help Nicole Kidman Get Pregnant?

There’s apparently something in the water in Australia – something that’s good for baby-making.

Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman, who is married to country music star Keith Urban, says swimming in Australian Outback waterfalls could be credited with her unexpected pregnancy this past year. In fact, the falls could be called "fertility waters," she says.

The Associated Press reports that the 41-year-old Aussie, who gave birth to daughter Sunday Rose in July, said she and six other women who swam in the waters of a small Outback town during production of her new romance film "Australia" became pregnant.

"I never thought that I would get pregnant and give birth to a child, but it happened on this movie," Kidman told The Australian Women’s Weekly in an interview. "Seven babies were conceived out of this film and only one was a boy. There is something up there in the Kununurra water because we all went swimming in the waterfalls, so we can call it the fertility waters now."

In the interview with the magazine, Kidman also talks about her "Australia" role opposite Hugh Jackman, the challenges that came with this labor of love and her role as a mom.

"Australia," directed by Baz Luhrmann, was filmed in Kununurra, a small town in far northern Western Australia. The film, which follows the story of a noblewoman on a cattle drive in Australia during World War II, is scheduled for release in November.

Kidman also said the reason her baby bump was so small during her pregnancy was because of her height.

"I had a birth that I was blessed with, a labor that was very good and a baby that was very good to me in that regard," said Kidman, who also has two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

"It’s exhausting," she acknowledges, "but I think at this age it’s more like … spellbinding for me. To be given this again is a beautiful thing. To have raised Bella and Connor since I was 25 and now to be able to do it again at 41 … wow!"

Say it isn’t so. The Catholic nuns told me if I kissed a boy 3 times I could get pregnant!

Does this mean all of those couples will have to go through DNA testing to determine correct parentage? Peace and grace
