Estranged Wife of a Millionaire Says She Spends $53,000 – a Week!

Is she washing her feet in liquid gold?
Here we are, cutting back … and here is this woman saying she spends $53,000 — a week.
The estranged wife of former United Technologies CEO George David claims to spend more in one week than the average American household’s annual income. And now, after six years of marriage, the 36-year-old Swedish countess stunner is in the middle of a divorce from her 66-year-old husband. She says she has no job — she quit her asset-manager job with her husband’s backing. She also says she has no assets.
Marie Douglas-David signed a $43 million post-nuptial agreement, but the duo’s legal teams are still working out the terms of their divorce. While $43 million sounds like a lot of money, a document that was filed in the couple’s divorce case and first made public Thursday showed that he has total assets of $329 million. A six-day trial is scheduled for March, the Hartford Courant reports. Meanwhile, her husband agreed to pay her nearly $1 million until the legal team works it out. For entertainment purposes, we thought it would be fun to show you the breakdown of Marie Douglas-David and her husband’s weekly expenses.
