Thank goodness we got Sen. Dole out of Washington. My best to Kay, do us proud!

Just back from Times Square—the energy and enthusiasm is extraordinary. Thousands of people are still there screaming, whooping it up and giving each other random hugs and high fives. As of 2am, people were still not leaving!!! Utterly jubilant. So happy to have been a part of it.

I wasn’t able to be online - computer probs., so, I am happy to read these comments after the fact. WE actually got to participate in a world-changing, life-changing, event in this country! I am now, SO proud to once again call myself American! Not that I didn’t before, I simply felt so angry about all that was going on in MY country! The unimaginable lying, cheating, deceiving, power hungry, war-mongering leadership was near unbearable for me. I feel ‘free at last’ to borrow a phrase from MLK. There’s a NEW day ahead, and I am proud to stand up with my new President - all the while knowing, it is not going to be easy. This is what makes America GREAT! We really ARE all in this together, (again).
