Elisabeth Hasselbeck Pregnant With Third Child

Elisabeth Hasselbeck has a baby on the way! "The View" cohost made the big announcement during today’s broadcast and, of course, brought a swift round of applause. The baby, her third with her husband, former football player Tim, will be born in August.

Whoopi Goldberg set Hasselbeck up for the big announcement by teasing the audience with some "breaking news," to which Hasselbeck demured, "It’s maybe not world news." Little does she know, right?

Hasselbeck also joked that she didn’t know she was pregnant and simply thought she was tired from the election and campaigning. Said the 31-year-old, "I didn’t even know for two months. I was walking around … I kept saying, "It’s Election Night, it’s Election Night." I was tired, I was nauseous, I thought I was worn out from the whole procedure. No. I was knocked up and didn’t realize it." Ha! We love it — and we’re so happy for you, Elisabeth.

Now, the big question: Will the latest Hasselbeck have a new Obama with which to play?

Why would a married, grown-up woman w/2 children, call getting pregnant w/a third child : “Knocked-Up”? That is what an un-married teen-ager would say…or some trailer-trash gettin’ knocked-up in somebody’s back seat of their car…Elisabeth can be sooo freakin’ stoopid. knocked-up? You’d think w/the way she usually talks, she’d have been calling her pregnancy what it is….a Miracle…I am sorely dissapointed in Elisabeth.

Congrats, but I thought her husband was a football player not a former baseball player.

Yah, Wiki says he’s “an ESPN analyst and former professional football quarterback for the New York Giants.”

Oops. Don’t know why I wrote baseball when I meant football. It’s his brother that’s still playing and doing a real good job.

Sandbee I envy people who know right away when there pregnant, weather it good or bad. I didnt know I was pregnant with my daughter…I had to have surgery on my shoudler and they did a pee test at the hospital which came back negative, all the while I was pregnant, very early on, but I was pregnant. Thankfully I was too early for the surgery to harm my daughter…

I used to say by the time I stood up I was throwing up, LOL, not sure it was a good thing. Ended up in the hospital being fed throught the veins with my middle daughter I was so sick. I believe they should test women of child bearing age for pregnancy before surgeries just like they do other pre-op tests. But like you say that doesn’t always work. So glad both you and your daughter made it through ok. It is scary the things that we do that can possible harm those we love, I know I worried with all 3 of my kids that the fact that I could barely eat for the first 3 months was not giving them enough nutrition. Luckliy I had very healthy babies.

Sandbee its funny b/c how I found out I was pregnant is b/c I hadnt had my period for months and so my Dr put me on pills to start my period, which I had taken before, but this time OH MAN was I sick…I thought I had the flu but my sister said “well for shit and giggles” take a pregnancy test, so imagine my surprise when 2 pink lines showed up…I mean we werent using anything against getting pregnant so I never wondered how it happened but we had also been having unprotected sex for 2 years and it hadnt happened…I liked being pregnant but dont miss it.

Sandbee…You have that right. I watching tv with my hubby when that story came across and when I said “honey can you imagine” and he quickly said “HELL NO”…he said I would have panic attacks 24/7 and that I worry so much with just one he couldnt imagine what I would do with 8…We got a good laugh and said that we would adopt before trying fertility drugs, if we had too.
