Elisabeth Hasselbeck Pregnant With Third Child

Elisabeth Hasselbeck has a baby on the way! "The View" cohost made the big announcement during today’s broadcast and, of course, brought a swift round of applause. The baby, her third with her husband, former football player Tim, will be born in August.

Whoopi Goldberg set Hasselbeck up for the big announcement by teasing the audience with some "breaking news," to which Hasselbeck demured, "It’s maybe not world news." Little does she know, right?

Hasselbeck also joked that she didn’t know she was pregnant and simply thought she was tired from the election and campaigning. Said the 31-year-old, "I didn’t even know for two months. I was walking around … I kept saying, "It’s Election Night, it’s Election Night." I was tired, I was nauseous, I thought I was worn out from the whole procedure. No. I was knocked up and didn’t realize it." Ha! We love it — and we’re so happy for you, Elisabeth.

Now, the big question: Will the latest Hasselbeck have a new Obama with which to play?

I had three children in three years and it was great fun! Each stage of their development was so much fun for me. For Elisabeth to be bringing a third child to her lovely family must be exciting for both she and her husband. Regarding The View, I find Elisabeth vital to the show.
