Elisabeth Hasselbeck Wonders Why Judd Doesn't Fight Abortion (Video)

There’s a new player in the ongoing war between actress Ashley Judd and Sarah Palin.

"The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck apparently threw her weight behind Palin today when, while discussing Judd’s campaign against Palin’s wolf-hunting ways, she scoffed, "The problem I have here is, a lot of these vocal celebrities in a way get very loud about these animal killings. Is she as loud about the 260,000 kids that are killed in abortions?” Hasselbeck’s support for Palin should come as no surprise: The 31-year-old stumped for Palin and Republican running mate John McCain during their unsuccessful White House bid.

Saw the View and one thing they said was that if the animals reproduce so that there are too many of them then what are they to do. As I understand it, only the Alpha Male and Female reproduce and have pups. If any others are born they Alpha Female may even kill them. And, how do you know a wolf is dying of lice and disease if you are shooting it from a plane? Other animals would sense this and it would be a goner. As for Hasselbeck, although she is a die hard Republican, I wonder how much of her rhetoric is for the show and if she really believes all that she says.

Barbara Walters is whoring herself for ratings by letting that Hasselbeck person stay on the show. I used to respect Barbara. I wish I still did.

I agree Sherrie. Barbara Walters has been around long enough and is at an age where you would think logically, that she wouldn’t sell out like this anymore. Apparently it’s hard for her to let go of competing for high ratings. I saw the show, and then I sent ABC an e-mail letting them know how offended I was by the things Hasselbeck said and how she got on her anti-choice high horse when the subject wasn’t even about abortion. I told them I am tired of being preached to by this woman and I will stop watching the show. It took a lot of willpower to skip it today though (but I did). I wanted to see if she would apologize to the viewers for having, yet again, shoved her opinion down their throats on this same issue.

Oh Sherrie, I couldn’t agree with you more! I don’t think Barbara even likes EH, but tolerates her for ratings.

Elizabeth is so full of herself. She thinks she represents republican values but i think she lacks understanding of any issues. She should be off the show.

If it is only “Liberals” who believe in a woman’s right to choose, then this country is a Liberal majority.

I was confused about uniting abortion with killing wolves from airplanes….. was she defending the killing of wolves because abortion is allowed? or was she saying that the wolf killing isnt that important because abortion is allowed? or was she saying that Sarah Palin can kill wolves because she didnt have an abortion. Other than the distraction of her comment……. what was her point?

Her point? She rarely HAS a point, beyond exemplifying Logical Fallacy…

Ha ha!! Good question, Roger. EH has no point - the two issues have no commonality. She has no idea what she’s talking about —-as usual.

Roger, you are so correct. Elisabeth is the “Duchess of Diversion.” When she is unable to add meaningful conversation and/or debate to the topic at hand, she diverts the conversation to another topic. Just happens to be a topic she is “passionate about.” During political conversations it is usually, “well what about (pick a name from the opposing team).” Elisabeth is capable of making some occasional good points, but the majority of the time she displays her immature and undeveloped conversation and debate style. Hey, a lot us on this site have the same problems!! How unfortunate that her public tantrums on Youtube will be a bad example for her own children.

merrell I still say gather up the overpopulation of Alaskan wolves and relocate them to Hollywood. Nothing in Alaska gets killed this way.
