Elisabeth Hasselbeck Wonders Why Judd Doesn't Fight Abortion (Video)

There’s a new player in the ongoing war between actress Ashley Judd and Sarah Palin.

"The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck apparently threw her weight behind Palin today when, while discussing Judd’s campaign against Palin’s wolf-hunting ways, she scoffed, "The problem I have here is, a lot of these vocal celebrities in a way get very loud about these animal killings. Is she as loud about the 260,000 kids that are killed in abortions?” Hasselbeck’s support for Palin should come as no surprise: The 31-year-old stumped for Palin and Republican running mate John McCain during their unsuccessful White House bid.

Watch Hasselbeck and her colleagues debate the Judd/Palin battle:

After reading all the rantings about abortion (although the topic was supposed to be about the arial hunting of wolves), I am once again profoundly greatful that I am Jewish. Abortion is a non-issue for us as the Torah teaches us that life begins with the first “breath of life”. As for EH we have all known that she is there only for ratings and hasn’t a thought that is useful in her head. Shalom (Peace)

The problem with relying on these religeous scriptures is that it tends to shut down the creative and insightful soul. My reading of the scriptures has shown me that even God has evolved in the position held towards humanity. Serveral times he has concluded we are unworthy of existence and then relented at the pleadings of the righteous. So why is it we rely on text witten thousands of years ago and not our own spiritual realizations and insights. It is as if God died and can no longer speak for himself. Why don’t we become more open to that instead of book? Why don’t we seek a living experience of our creator such as had by the Israelites in the first temple.”

Elizabeth Hasselbeck backing Palin is just one airhead backing another. She doesn’t get her facts straight and seems to be one of those that still believes that a woman’s main function is to drop one baby after another.

I have a couple of thoughts on this. First; who cares about Sarah Palin, she won’t be back. Secondly, why are we all so busy to interfere in the lives of others. With abortion as painful as it is for most we should stay out of this an let it reside between the mother, the father, theor family and God. As far as EH goes, it is her job to create controversy so she is doing what she is paid to do. If she were some poor, barefoot, pregnant woman with a drug addicted, abusive fool for a husband she might once again appreciate theconcept of abortion as she contemplates bringing a child into her family’s personal little hell.”

So if women lose their rights of reproductive freedom and essentially become chattel (again), won’t we also have to give up our guns and stop shooting wolves? It’s not very ladylike is it? Tough one for Sarah!

I just wonder if we decide to make abortion illigal if coat hangers will make a comeback along with going down dark streets in city slums at night to get to that dirty room where people looking to make a buck will abort that baby for ya under unclean conditions. My daughter found herself pg at 17. I don’t like the idea of aborting babies and always talked to my kids about taking responsability for their actions, play and pay and all that. I even told her what would happen if she got pg. No free ride from mama. I would help which meant no babysitting for fun night only for school or work time. When she informed me of her situation I reminded her of her options that we had talked about all these years. I must have done something right cause she choose to have the baby. She is now a RN. Took her awhile to get there she had to work, go to school and raise a baby. Her baby is 13 now and mom is married with 2 more babies 6 and 16 mo. Kids need to be held accountable for their choices and hopefully they will do whats right and moral through trial and error. She went from my home till the baby was 6mo. when I told her to find housing (didn’t want to be her crutch). She went into government housing for 8 mo. to a hud house to meeting her now husband and a new house they bought. She is her own woman now, stong, employed and successful in life. So proud of her!

Thank you…..wish I had been so lucky with my 2 boys!! At least when they hunt they do it on foot and eat their kill. They didn’t get their hunting skills from dad or I. We are not hunters.

Thank you all, I am blushing. I want to add she was never on welfare, not that welfare is always a bad thing, but wic and pel grants were a lifesaver for her. Hud is a wonderful program and government housing in our little town is really no big deal unless you dislike having a camera facing your front door. That got my daughter motivated to improve her lot in life.

My dears, this argument reminds me of one I hear intermittently as regards those who are pro-life, except in the case of the death penalty. Expectations of “absolutes” in morality went out the window when “thou shalt not kill” noted its first exception, didn’t it, dahlings?
