Elisabeth Hasselbeck Wonders Why Judd Doesn't Fight Abortion (Video)

There’s a new player in the ongoing war between actress Ashley Judd and Sarah Palin.

"The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck apparently threw her weight behind Palin today when, while discussing Judd’s campaign against Palin’s wolf-hunting ways, she scoffed, "The problem I have here is, a lot of these vocal celebrities in a way get very loud about these animal killings. Is she as loud about the 260,000 kids that are killed in abortions?” Hasselbeck’s support for Palin should come as no surprise: The 31-year-old stumped for Palin and Republican running mate John McCain during their unsuccessful White House bid.

Watch Hasselbeck and her colleagues debate the Judd/Palin battle:

great post Lizzie, I’ve been around a long time, I remember when women were still going to back alley’s…. I had a High School girl friend who did that and almost died. Lot’s of women died having illegal abortions. With all the means to keep from getting pregnant In today’s world I can’t imagine it’s an easy decision for a woman to make but I believe the choice MUST BE THE WOMANS….. .

Lizzie R You just reminded me of the horror stories I have read about women bleeding to death from using objects like clothes hangers to abort themselves, out of desperation. Why would anyONE wish that on another human being? Women are going to have abortions one way or the other, why don’t we consider using other resources to help them? Counseling for example, may help them make a more informed decision and most likely would save their lives as well as enable them to have other options available. We need to stop being so crass and insensitive about this issue, folks.

Do you women honestly think that you will convert someone from the “other side” to what you believe -if you spout enough insults and quote enough text? Can’t you agree to disagree instead of being hateful, rude and ugly with each other? Some things will never change because of people’s beliefs- and this is one of them. Hatred is one thing that we an change, however, and it sounds like there’s alot of hatred in these words written here.

Hasselback started her tv debut on “survivor” from all I have read of her, and she is still tooting her own horn, trying to get noticed more and more. She pouts when the others disagree with her, most likely storms off the set after each showing of “The View” and, just comes off as a whiney little brat. I wish she would take her Palin pal and just go away! These two are precisely the reasons women get a bad rap for being whiney, or having emotional episodes. Palin has been set up by the Republican Party and she still doesn’t get it. She still doesn’t get that the Republicans could give a hoot about her, unless she has enough appeal to win some votes for them. She has been set up as a ‘sex object’ in order to whoo votes or voters to their party. It has nothing to do with whether or not she is a good candidate. She and Hasselbeck just don’t see the greater picture, and it is very sad. The whole dumb dame kind of mentality is being applied to them whether spoken or unspoken, and neither can see it happening. Dumb brunette, dumber blonde!!! ???? What a waste of space!

Thank you. Your presence is sorely missed and requested in the Edith Ann thread, Lady! Do you have a MySpace or Facebook? I am no longer comfortable sharing personal information on this site because of a certain creeper…

You are right Sarah still doesn’t get that she was used by the Republican Party and they kept talking about sexism during the campaign, they were the worst offenders by choosing Sarah because of her gender. Elizabeth wants to use The View as her platform for keeping her strong ties to Sarah and staunch support of her alive and well. I think she feels if she keeps this up at some point Sarah may ask her to join her in any further campaigns, she likes the attention she gets by her constant backing of Sarah.

EH has a big mouth and thinks she knows all…she would disagree with any one who is not a republican. Palin should shoot one of her pets for food. Let me explain what I mean…ANY Dog or Animal in the wild would have to fend for it’s self…kill to eat. I don’t care if it’s a poodle. That does not give Palin the right to kill it. I owned a wolf as a pet and she was the best dog ever and I miss her very much. She was smart, Faithful and loving…….Remember all dogs are decendents of the wolf. When you look at your Dog think about where she or he came from. Stop the killing NOW. and put a muzzle on EH

Stop the killing NOW. and put a muzzle on EH By Carol P Sarasota Fl on 02/08/2009 10:48 am Carol P YES! It only makes sense that we begin to take another look at this issue, since in fact, our dogs really do come from the wolf family - human beings have simply given themselves permission to kill whatever gets in their way - whether it be the wildlife, or the land, or who knows what is next? Peta also sent out a flyer with the information about some people who are killing dogs and cats in order to make furs from them. These are precisely the kinds of atrocities which continue to keep these arguments alive and well. Also, why can’t some people stick to topic, here? There are plenty of avenues and articles on abortion it doesn’t need to be linked to animal rights too. Is that how they see their own children for example? As just another animal? Hmmmm For whomever made mention of whether or not I would kill them if wolves lived in my area - I would not. I would first of all, not move to a location which is considered to be their habitat. Secondly, if they lived here first, during my lifetime, I would still not go out of my way to kill them. I would ensure that me and mine are kept safe - not as an excuse to go out and kill, however. If some of you people who stick up for those who do kill for fun, or sport, would try and remember the most basic rule of nature, we wouldn’t be having these debates. It is so sad, however - too many are unwilling to see this whole matter from a larger lens. For those who want to argue just for the sake of arguing, or discussing just for the sake of being on a different side of the issue, don’t bother to respond. You waste too much time.
