Florida TV Reporter Turns Up Heat on Biden, Obama Campaign Fuming (Video)

Sen. Joe Biden was irritated during a television interview this weekend – really irritated.
Barack Obama’s campaign canceled an appearance by Biden’s wife, Jill, with a local Florida TV station after the Delaware senator was asked whether he was “embarrassed” by some of Obama’s associations and whether he thought Obama’s economic plans were “socialist.”
Biden was interviewed by Florida WFTV anchor Barbara West Thursday. She began the interview by asking whether Biden was "embarrassed" by Obama’s association with ACORN – a voter registration group now under investigation by the FBI for voter fraud which Obama previously served as an organizer for.
“I am not embarrassed by it, we are not tied to it, we have not given them one single penny … there is no relationship,” Biden said.
West also referred to criticisms that Obama wants to “spread the wealth around,” asking Biden if that is a potentially “crushing political blunder.”
She later cited Karl Marx and said: “How is Sen. Obama not being a Marxist if he intends to spread the wealth around?”
Biden: “Are you joking? Is this a joke? Or is that a real question?” He wondered aloud who was writing her questions.
West: “No, that’s a question.”
“It’s a ridiculous comparison, with all due respect,” Biden responded.
The Obama campaign then canceled a subsequent WFTV interview with Jill Biden. Obama’s Florida spokeswoman, Adrianne Marsh, called West "both combative and woefully uninformed about simple facts."
"This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign, according to The Orlando Sentinel.
WFTV news director Bob Jordan refuted the bias by saying, "Mr. Biden didn’t like the questions," Jordan said. "We choose not to ask softball questions."
He added: "I’m crying foul on this one."
