Regardless of how you feel about Palin, it’s pretty pathetic when members of her own gender publish sexist videos such as this on their websites. You may find humor in it; I find it demeaning to women. Look ahead four years from now, when another woman runs for executive office and she’s dismissed as a Party nominee without a moment’s consideration because those who call the shots believe that few women will vote for her…. after all, look how the nation demeaned Palin in 2008, they’ll say. WOWOWOW, you’ve sunk to a new low.

I am so disappointed and ashamed of WOWOWOW putting this on their site. No matter what your politics or opinion it is so demeaning to all women. Shame on you. I can’t encourage other women to engage in perusing this site.

Oh my God, HOW was that demeaning to WOMEN as a race?! If you’re referring to the swimsuit (and I can’t imagine that you’ve NEVER worn one in your life, yourself), was she not a former beauty pageant contestant? Otherwise, this is just plain delusion - an excuse to complain about something that is simply making light of a potentially dark situation.

Do not pretend to speak for me. You are demeaned. I am not not.

And I find it pathetic that just because a WOMAN happens to be the one under criticism, her non-supporters are somehow “sexist”. Let’s face it, most (if not ALL) politicians deserve to be parodied, and Sarah is definitely NOT EVEN CLOSE to being an exception. She just happens to be a woman, and since there was nothing technically SEXIST about that video, I’m afraid I’m gonna have to ask who is truly the sexist one here…?

If the Republican party had any respect for the American people they would have chosen a candidate that was fit for the job, not someone who would be arm candy for and old man and know little about the issues. They would have chosen someone who had convictions and stuck to them (Bridge to nowhere, earmarks, stem cells, etc.). They would have chosen someone who the American people would vote for because she had knowledge and good judgement, not because they thought “Oh goody, she reminds me of me. This is the most disturbing thing I have witnessed since I started voting. McCain and his camp have turned this campaign into a farse. We just have to hope that the public wakes up before it is too late.

Hi Marjorie, Did you think this was satire, but not funny? Did you think that Obamas on the Vanity Fair cover was satire, but not funny? I’m trying to understand whether you don’t like satire, didn’t like that Governor Palin was the subject, or didn’t think this was satirical.

Hi again Marjorie, I meant the Obamas on the New Yorker cover. Sorry.
