JJ GB - The cafe on Grape St. is where I first saw Whoopi perform! Right then and there I knew she would be a world-wide phenomenon!

I was at a meeting nearby and went with some friends to get something to eat-didn’t know Whoopi or anything about her. Friends told me later she worked there and they had pointed her out to me but I didn’t remember much about it at the time-only later did it all make sense and did I realize who she was and is. I lived in San Diego a long time, but never had the pleasure of seeing her perform in person. The cafe moved to a different location years later.
