Life in the Little Lane: Henny Penny

Once upon a time, yesterday, the beautiful Princess Edith and her dog Hug decided they would play Henney Penny and Chicken Little.  Then we ran into the house and the Princess screamed, “The sky is falling.  The sky is falling.”  And Mom said, “Edith, I don’t have time for this now.  Go back outside and play.”  Sadly, the little girl who didn’t feel like a Princess anymore and her little dog went back outside and waited for the sky to fall down on them.

The End

Lily, The sky has fallen on many of us. The economic crisis was foreseen. We were warned to have an exit strategy in Iran. We knew Katrina was coming. And, I am a big believer that a Palin/McCain ticket (not a misprint) will not only make the sky fall, but when it lands, it will land hard on our basic rights as American citizens and will further incite our enemies to attack us. So heed Edith Ann’s advice because these issues cannot be solved with a smile, wink, and a couple of you betchas.

Little Fefe ~ There is nothing wrong with being too idealistic. It is just your dreams sparkling.
Well said Carol :) Perhaps it’s not too late. Things have a funny way of working out. Lets just hope it’s sooner rather than later! *hugs Little Fefe

I actually can’t even SEE the sky through all the frickin’ pollution anymore, so I’ll just have to take Edith’s word.

I suppose next Gov. Palin will be an expert on global warming, because the melting polar ice caps are raining on her front lawn.

I imagine that Edith caught some of the news and picked up on” Henny Penny”, from John McCain”s and President Bush’s actions in regards to the Economics of today. I say that because, well those were my thoughts too! Out of the mouth of babes, we should pay heed!

Edith, I’ve been feeling a few things hit me upon the head lately, and I’ve wondered if the sky is falling too. But, maybe your mom knows something we don’t—the tide, after all, rises and falls year after year. Maybe America’s financial bail out is a short cut back to the days when Clinton was in office (peace and prosperity), or maybe it’s a trick and we’ll all have our heads chopped off. I just don’t know anymore. Do we panic or do we keep the faith? Can I sit outside with you and your dog to wait to see what happens?

Come and be with us, Serena, Kryssi says we can all play cloud dodgeball. we’ll have fun till the endtime which can’t be far from now if Palin/Macain get elected. And now that the mega Swiftboating has begun, Obma may be sunk. What does everyone think? Did anyone see the Hannity show Sunday night? Chilling! And the Mockumentary before that where everything bout the economic crises is plamed on the dems and their desire for cheap housing. It was so suble and well made yet just as propagandistic as Hannity’s Nobama docutrauma.

Aunt Jane, The “swift-boaters” can go fly a kite! I don’t care WHAT the co-author of The Obama Nation, Jerome Corsi, says about Obama—He’s WRONG. Just because McCain was a POW, everyone assumes, “ah, he MUST be all-American.” (Similar to assuming that if you can SEE Russia, you must have foreign policy experience.) Okay, so where does that leave the rest of us!? I never served as a POW, but I LOVE my country. AND, I love Barack Obama! How can the Republicans continue to blame the Democrats for our economic crisis!? Who has been shoveling out billions to support an Oil-greedy war in Iraq? It wasn’t us. We haven’t been the head blockhead for the last eight years!! And Sean Hannity with his NoBama blog threads and signs!!! Don’t get me started!!

If we should elect someone just because they’ve been a POW, there’s a whole lot of guys down at Guantanamo more qualified than Gov. Palin, right?

Jane, A couple of my Republican friends, down here in Texas, started on the Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and Barney Frank caused the mortgage crisis. (These are otherwise bright people) I asked if they thought Countrywide, AIG and WAMU took advice from Frank and didn’t, just maybe, GREED, have a little something to do with it. Well maybe, they said. Did someone lace our drinking water with the Bush kool-aid? What is wrong with these people? How can we fix it if we can’t agree on the problem? The lie and win at any price tactics are scary. But I believe that there are still many sensible people in this country and hopefully they will all vote! If Palin/McCain win-Ireland is looking mighty good.

How much does it cost to live in Ireland? Is it cheaper than here?

I love all the pictures of sweet endless otherwordly green land in Ireland. I remember years ago seeing the movie “Ryan’s Daughter”. I was in a state of ecstasy during the entire movie, from the first moment I saw the cliffs looking over the wild sea. I could barely breathe. It was magnificent. My grandmother or great grandmother, I can’t remember which, came from Ireland.
