Ahahahaha, dahlings. The “blogosphere” is the angry mob and the rich, the evil villians - even today. Worry not, my dears. A redistrubution of wealth is imminent, my dahlings, and your revolution will be less bloody this time - unless, of course, it’s led by Eliza, in which case the lunatics will indeed have taken over the asylum. Ahahahaha.

Thanks, everyone, for reminding me I had a Blueberry Muffin in the kitchen. Mmmmmm. Remeniscing about the guillotine is a fairly gruesome way to start the day. But then, Halloween is fast approaching. Bonfire, anyone? We wouldn’t chop her head off today, but we might elect a president who would demand she pay higher taxes.

Marie got a raw deal! She was sent to France, for an arranged political marriage at age 14 to an immature husband. She was isolated at Versailles and became the symbol of the King’s court extravagance and blindness to the lives of the poor. There were many players in the King’s court and I can not believe Marie had a strong influence on Royal attitudes. she took what was available to her, and I hope she had a great time while it lasted.

I’m sure she had a great time Carol… She was a mute smiling woman wrapped in luxury standing stoically behind the man on the throne. Marie was an easy target. She was no different than any woman who submits her will to a powerful man for security and wealth. When he goes down, she goes down.
