Hockey Fans Booed 'Hockey Mom' Sarah Palin at Flyers' Game (Video)

The self-proclaimed "hockey mom" was booed by hockey fans in Philadelphia last night.

Sarah Palin did not receive the warmest welcome before she dropped the ceremonial puck at Saturday’s NHL hockey game between the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers. The Republican vice presidential candidate’s visit was one day after a legislative probe concluded that she abused her power as Alaska’s governor, CNN reported. The report probing Palin’s firing of Alaska’s public safety commissioner found that Palin violated a state’s ethic’s law — which prohibit using public office for personal benefit — when she tried to get Mike Wooten fired. Wooten was a state trooper and Palin’s sister’s ex-husband. The investigation also stated that Palin’s firing of the commisioner Walter Monegan was authorized.

"Flyers’ fans, please welcome the best-known hockey mom in the United States," the announcer said. Watch the YouTube clip below to see what happened next:

Mr. Gulliver I find your style.. well I cant find it but it is on the verge of being crude, I don’t mind crude if I want that finish on the floor, where I seem to see some your remarks come from. But Pamela is right I noticed the same thing and thought that the crowd while expressing there right to boo, like a shotgun it’s target gets blurring and hits innocent bystanders. Her children loves hockey and that day meeting professional players hockey, puck drop the shaking of players hands the ceremony would have been written in her diary as a highlight not her Physiologists highlighted. Maybe just maybe she well, really think even if she has to hire someone to do it for her, not include the children from now on in here appearances, because this campaign has turned as the crowds have.

I wish someone on the staff at wOw could get to Ms. Palin and tell her that the way she carries her baby and then gives it to her little girl to carry makes some people cringe. As a health care professional I have seen head injuries of infants because someone accidentially fell. They should be carried down plane steps in an infant carrier and should never be handed to a 7 year old to carry, no matter how good the child is with the infant. My stomach goes into a spasm everytime I see it happen. Please someone try to help that baby.

Dab, thank you for your post. This speaks volumes to me. If you have no respect for your own children how in good conscience could you lead others, or even have consideration for others needs. Another example of Sarah Palin’s lack of compassion and skills.

God Bless the Rangers…If they never win another Stanley Cup, I will always be proud of the moment they were not happy to be greeting Palin. Now I will go and paint my face with Ranger colors.

Obama supporters spewing hate are not being reported! Just Terrible. There is no comparison with the half dozen “plants” at the McCain Palin rallies. YouTube video is shocking! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQalRPQ8stI Obama supporters wearing t-shirts calling Sarah Palin a Cunt? http://wwwwakeupamericans-spree.blogspot.com/2008/10/obama-supporters-ca… With the media so blatantly biased and unwilling to show “anything” remotely negative about Barrack do you think the country is well served? Be honest. If McCain & Palin were given a truly equal amount of coverage, positive & negative, as Obama & Biden would this race be even close?

Let’s be honest. For the gals out there panning Sarah Palin. I bet prior to her running for VP you would sing are far more realistic tune if she were a casual acquaintance of yours getting her hair done at your Salon. You would gossip and brag about the amazing beautiful woman with 5 kids, handsome husband, ex-Mayor, and current Governor of an entire State getting her hair done next to you! Think about your thoughts and comments. Would you say these things to your own daughters or sons? Would you counsel your children this way if they were a sitting Governor of a State with higher ambitions? The glee and pride would permeate every nook and cranny of your soul….be honest! Sarah Palin is the real deal. You know it. Don’t be afraid of her just because she’s beautiful, smart, accomplished, and ambitious. She is the kind of person you would love to have as a friend or neighbor regardless of party affiliation

Since I don’t “get my hair done” she’s out on that one. I don’t believe in hunting, encouraging my children not to finish school, teaching abstinance which obviously doesn’t work, being pro-birth, being a liar in my job, my taxes and no I don’t consider her very smart - cunning maybe. So no I would not care to have her as a friend or neighbor.

yipes - I must be deaf or out of it but I honestly could not hear the boo-ing?

Your ears are fine, Chips. I heard a little of what could have been booing, and a little of what certainly was whistling, and a whole lot of talking. No applause, no cheers. Perhaps the telling clue is the sound not heard.
