The Holocaust-denying bishop, Richard Williamson, left Argentina, but he sure didn’t go quietly.

The Argentinean government gave Williamson the boot after controversy over Williamson’s remarks that the Nazis didn’t use gas chambers to kill millions of Jews. Pope Benedict XVI took international flack after lifting Williamson’s excommunication for another matter, and the Vatican has since ordered the bishop to retract his comments if he wants to return to the Catholic fold.

But as Williamson readied to get on a flight to London Tuesday, he got into a scuffle with a reporter. Raising his fist at the journalist, Williamson shoved past him, thereby pushing him into a poll. Two men with Williamson restrained the reporter, who kept trying to follow the bishop through the airport.

When he arrived at London’s Heathrow Airport, Williamson was met by armed police guards and hordes of media. But what is the bishop doing in the UK? We don’t know. Sky News reports that Williamson, who has been seen in the past with historian and Holocaust denier David Irving, was met at the airport by Irving’s spokeswoman.

We guess Williamson has to take friends where he can get them these days!
