SOFUNNY!…THISWASSUPPOSEDTOBEABOUTWHATDRIVESWHOOPI crazy…Have you read these paragraphs…I’m out man..I can’t do it….Poor Whoop…not even here to defend herself!
You still funny Woman…Love you to bits…..
Would you consider it a back-handed compliment if I wondered why Whoopi isn’t on the list of 50 and fabulous. In addtion to the fact that she is so articulate, her great sense of humor, expressive eyes and shapely legs qualify her for my personal list… Hopefully that won’t put me on her list of things that drive her crazy.
Scrooooom all, Whoopi. (A creative attitudinal comment that was a great favorite of my late husband.) Their smallness is of no moment, it only reflects back upon them. Let ‘em eat their microscopic hearts out.
You are a precious gift to the sisterhood and to the world. We celebrate your very existence among us. THANKS!!
I’m back, miss me?
Lets finalize this articulate matter.
It doesn’t matter if you’re black or white, if you can speak distinctly and easily, then you’re articulate.
What is wrong with calling a black person articulate?
This is 2008/2009.
Here is an example of a white guy, and a black who are both very articulate.
Bob Costas, and Malik Shabazz.
When I hear Bob Costas will be the commentator for a particular sports event, or is hosting a special, I watch.
When I hear Malik Shabazz will be the guest on a news program, I watch.
Mr. Shabazz took it to far on O’Reilly when Michelle Markin was hosting, and I haven’t seen him since.
I’m nowhere near as smart as him, but he reminds me of myself.
He tell it like it is, but can’t help going over the line.
As for Obama being articulate, he is when scripted and rehearsed.
McCain? Duh.
Whoopi! Articulate THIS on the View. Please email to let me knwo when you discuss this with Elizabeth PLEASE. I want to see her face!

This will be my first post here. Hello WHOOPI !!!
Hello to all posting here as well.
So I haven’t anything witty or pertinent to write but thought I’d introduce myself to the site. Soon I hope to get the groove here down pat and I’ll post more often for now I’m just getting my feet wet. Need to get the feel of this forum and the TOS . Hope I don’t become a nuisance..lol
Welcome to the site lefty (may I call you lefty?)… it’s, as you can see, never dull. Most of the people here are wonderful “orators” and the Trolls are few and far between. I’ve learned a great deal on this site and really miss it when I’m “away”.
ENJOY!
Whoopi is right, no matter how well intentioned the ” you’re so articulate”…it is said because she is a black person. Nobody tells Brokaw, or Sawyer or Couric, all of whom speak for a living…that they are articulate…why? And, please listen when Whoopi tells you why, don’t dismiss it as though she doesn’t know what she is talking about…
Dear Ms. Goldberg: You say that you are offended when people call you articulate. I do not understand this. I am European, my mothers ancesters come from the Ural mountains, my fathers ancesters come from the Swiss Alpine mountains, but when I come to the USA people tell me I come from the Caucasian mountains (?). I am flattered when people call me articulate. But why should I have to call myself Caucasian, when I do not come from that area. But jokes aside, can you please explain to me why you feel offended when people say that you are articulate? I would greatly appreciate an explanation, Than you. Anje.
Whoopi;
If I may be so bold as to ‘defend’ your position on this matter…?
It seems fairly obvious to me, if someone compliments a person of color, specifically Whoopi, they are simply being patronizing. It is fairly clear that racism comes in a variety of forms - perhaps one, if not the worst form is to identify a black person as articulate - which in essence means YOUSOUNDWHITE, GIRL!
And… I also hate the term “girl” for women, unless it is a part of the cultural thing, as opposed to the ‘being less than,’ thing.
