How Liz Smith Met Her Neighbor
In response to: What's the nicest thing a neighbor ever did for you?
Early on when first beginning to write my column, I was living in Manhattan’s Murray Hill. (I still am!) A girl named Cece Kisselstein-Cord telephoned and said she’d found my wallet in a taxi. She insisted on coming right to my door to return it to me. She lives two blocks from me and we have been friends now for 30 years.
