Heart palpitations, sweats, migraines … There are times in many of our lives when there are warning signs to take it slow. Howie Mandel, at 53, received his red flag on Monday. The charming comedian and game-show host reportedly checked himself into a Toronto hospital on Monday after he experienced an irregular heartbeat. But Mandel’s publicist said yesterday in a statement the entertainer will not be taking it easy after the hospital visit. His publicist said Mandel "did not have a heart attack" and "doctors expect him to be released and back to work tomorrow."
Back to work already?
Please, Mandel, take this as a warning that you need some rest. Today, the star of "St. Elsewhere" and the famous voice of the main character in the children’s cartoon "Bobby’s World" maintains a vigorous schedule as the host of two shows. Between hosting the popular show on NBC "Deal or No Deal," Mandel runs around in disguises for his comedy prank show, "Howie Do It." The show debuted last week.
Tell us: Have you ever had a similar "red flag" to slow down? Should Mandel put work on hold and rest for awhile?
