Jamie Lynn Spears Pregnant Again, Says the National Enquirer

Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney Spears’s 17-year-old sister who became the poster child for teen pregnancies after giving birth in June, is reportedly pregnant again — and some people close to Jamie Lynn are urging her to consider abortion — according to the National Enquirer — the same notorious — but often accurate — tabloid that outed the John Edwards affair.

Jamie Lynn once starred on the Nickelodeon tween television series "Zoey 101." On June 19, she gave birth to daughter Maddie Briann and is currently engaged to the baby’s father, Casey Aldridge, 19. According to the Enquirer, Jamie Lynn was in shock when an at-home pregnancy test showed a positive result. She said to sources, reports the Enquirer, that she thought since she’s been breast-feeding daughter Maddie, she couldn’t get pregnant.

While it’s true that breast-feeding helps reduce your chances of getting pregnant, Dr. Rebekah E. Gee, an OB/GYN at the University of Pennsylvania, told wowOwow it’s not a great contraceptive. "Prolactin is released while you breast-feed, which usually suppresses ovulation. But some women – which could be the case for Jamie Lynn — can still ovulate when breast-feeding," said Dr. Gee.

Tell me Jamie Lynn do we start calling you Bristol too? Have you considered the Pill, or condoms—obviously not—Gee mom Spears you sure did a great job with your girls.

There are a few major words which should go in play here: Vasectomy, Tube Tying, and The Pill. Any one or all of the above. Apparently the GED didn’t cover spacing children. An old Auntie of mine used to call these Irish twins (now don’t get all fluffed up—we’re all just as Irish as we can be.) Ah, yes, there is one more word—abstinence. The latter never seems to have worked out. Personally, I feel sorry for the girl. She must have had no guidance at all.

If it is true, good luck to the girl. She is very young and already has a small baby to care for so challenging it will be. Hopefully she will have the support she needs. Her sister had two very close together and it seemed to be a challenge to great for her. I hope things work out better for Jamie.

Wow! It is amazing to me in this day and age that there are people who still hold to the old addage of name calling, slur slinging and downright meanness. One of the things my mother has always taught me is be careful what you say about others situations for you never know what the future may hold for you. In short and what we call now “Karma”. IF this rumor holds true then the poor dear is going to need a lot of love and moral support and is probably already feeling quite low about the situation without all of the mean spirited comments by those who are too ignorant to understand the full meaning of her situation.
