but we can see Todd on his snow machine from
where we are. Heh, heh, heh."

Dear Jane: Do you think Leonard and Virginia would invite a cat to the Punk the Palins Party? It sounds like great fun to me. I certainly would trust the wolves more than the Palins. I feel they would protect me from harm and we coud add “dice on ice” to our collection of Dice sayings. I could be ready in a trice! Love, Dice the nice.

MY God, Jane, Truman always loves a party and this one sounds like lots of fun especially when Todd falls out of the snow mobile. But he is a bit hesitant about this party. It’s nothing about the wolves. If you say they are gentle, he’ll meet them because he trusts you. But he hates the cold! We took him to Tahoe in the winter and he hated it. He had to wear boots on his paws and could hardly run! Remind me to show you a picture of our sad little boy with icicles hanging from his beard. Truman said to remind you that he is a Coton and they are from Madagascar where it is warm. Anybody for a beach party? Truman is there…

Serena .
Joanne, I know just the beach—I’m in Florida. Truman can wrestle around with my PekiPom (Sable) in the white sand while we all sip our favorite drinks.

Joanne, I said he would be safe because the wolves are very sweet and gentle, But I just realized the same can’t be said for the Palins, so our dear Truman shouldnt come anyway. We don’t want him exposed to Sarah’s AK-7…So the party is off for precious little innocent critters like Truman…he is much too sweet and too elite for the yahoos up in Alaska there, doncha know. Best he stay in Hollywood, where the worse thing that cold happen is that he might get exposed to Paris Hilton and her dogs in the doggie park. He’s more suited to hollywood gatherings like that than seeing the Palins get punked by the Wolves.

Jane and Serena, Truman says thanks for the invitations to you both. It was the thought that counts, even if he shouldn’t go to the party in Alaska. Truman would love to meet Sable, Serena’s PekiPom, when he can pull himself away from Sabrina, his PekiPoo girlfriend down the street. Anyhow, Jane, so glad Leonard and Virgina are busy punking those Palins. Somebody has to take care of Alaska for us, or there won’t be any wildlife left!

My dear Ms. Jane, Thank you for telling me all the reasons I shouldn’t attend the Punk the Palins party. I could try going skating in order to be Dice on Ice—it would be lots safer and might be fun. Would you like to go skating with me? Please note, I have officially changed my name to Dice the Nice thanks to you. And that makes me feel related to you, somehow. Are you my Auntie Jane? Love, Dice

Jane, thanks for this one, too. Yet, another hit! I always wanted to play with wolves because they look so beautiful and even cuddly sometimes. Of course. the world would have us all fear them, because of their fangs. I believe they would protect us, if need be, with those fangs. I can picture the wolves playing a kind of ‘tag’ game with Todd or other snow-‘machiners’ - snow mobiles is the actual name…? At least in the lower 48… It is rather peculiar also that Ted Stevens finally had to leave the Senate, today, due to all the scandal with his tax returns. All this seemed to come up about the same time all the nonsense was going on in the beginning of the Palin for VP. How many Republicans I wonder, are now serving prison terms for all their shoddy dealings. It is a sad commentary on our Legislative Branch.

Ms. Wagner, that cartoon is priceless. I’m glad I had put my coffee down before I read the caption! As a side note, I watched Nashville the other night and was once again mesmerized by Lily’s performance. She should have gotten the Oscar. Both of you, your talent grows over the years.

It’s absurd that she doesn’t have an Oscar - those scenes with her deaf children ALONE were enough to win it. She conveyed so much while saying so little. The woman actually gets INTO character unlike most of Hollywood. I can’t believe she wasn’t at least NOMINATED AGAIN for something like Short Cuts. (If you thought she was brilliant in Nashville, you need to check that one out as well if you haven’t seen it already - the subtle nuances are astounding. She is a master. And bless Altman for realizing that.)
