Jennifer Hudson's Brother-in-Law Arrested in Connection to Family's Murder

Jennifer Hudson can hopefully find some closure after the tragic murders of her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew.
According to reports, police have arrested Hudson’s brother-in-law, William Balfour, 27, in connection with their murders. It’s been more than a month since the Oscar-winning actress’s mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson, and her older brother, Jason, were found fatally shot inside Hudson’s childhood Chicago home. Julian King was found three days later, shot dead inside an SUV near the crime scene. The murder weapon? Reportedly the same .45-caliber gun used to kill Hudson’s mother and brother.
The Associated Press reports that Balfour was transferred to a different prison after being served with a murder arrest warrant and is now awaiting formal charges. As of Monday night, he was not formally charged, the AP reports. Balfour was being held in prison on a suspected parole violation. He served seven years for attempted murder and a car-hijacking conviction in 1999.
Balfour, married to Hudson’s sister Julia, was taken into questioning for two straight days after the bodies were found on October 24 and was named a "person of interest" in the investigation. During the interrogation, Balfour reportedly refused to take a lie-detector test and was uncooperative with detectives.
Like any mother, Balfour’s mom defended her son when she told reporters last night that prosecutors have no case.
"If they found gun powder on his hands, you got a case; if they found a gun on him, he had a case; if they found a fingerprint on the truck that he did this, you got a case; but they don’t have nothing," Michelle Davis-Balfour said.

Finally! Thank God! It can’t and won’t bring back her family members, but at least an animal like that, one that would kill a small boy, is off the streets!
I hope they find enough evidence to make a good case against him or whoever did such a terrible crime.
Yep, another great reason for the death penalty!
I’ll wait for the evidence, thank you. Balfour is a likely suspect, but that’s where the miscarriage of justice usually begins.
Okay, let me get this straight, so that I understand the mindset of wOw posters…..
If you murder (accused but not convicted) a female news anchor everyone screams Death Penalty! He should die for what he did! But if you murder 3 people, one of whom is a child (accused but not convicted) there is a noticeable silence in that regard, with the exception of one lone poster….okay….makes sense to me. I don’t believe in the death penalty under any circumstances, so I am not seeking that type of vitriol from others. But it is quite interesting to see where everyone’s ire lies and speculate the reasons behind the difference in thought.
Things that make you go….hmmmmm?
BTW, after you clear your throat of your hmmmmm’s why don’t you give us your speculation. What exactly is it you’re implying? Go on….spit it out.
You’re so funny Elaine, some of your posts are so amusing. You’re a very entertaining human being. Bless your little heart. *Wink* (Shout out to Sarah Palin)
Thanks, I’ve got lots more where that came from! But like your boy Obama, I do believe you evade the questions. Wink, Wink, back atcha ya!
It ain’t vitrol honey, he along with the other ass wipe on the newscaster site needs to die period. And get this…If I were offered the executioners role you can bet your sweet ass I’ll be first in line for the job, Dig!
Oh Elaine, I have no doubt (based on comments you have made on this site) you would rejoice in taking the life of someone convicted of a crime. No doubt at all on that one….and if there is anyone who would make an excellent executioner, it would be you my Dear. I unlike you however worry about my salvation and soul after death.
Well maybe you need to take yourself over to the newscaster thread and read where I’ve given scripture that supports such. AND, if you really knew the Bible like you, claim (on other posts) Then I would expect that you would know this. I speak the truth, capieche!
Well Elaine, if you have indeed read my other posts in regard to my upbringing as it relates to religion, you must have also read that I believe we all interpret the Bible and God’s word differently. I personally do not interpret any of God’s word to give justification to any mortal taking the life of another AND expecting their soul to be saved by the Grace of God. You seem to be an intelligent, though distorted and flawed human being, but surely you understand what I have just written. This is how I interpret the bible, you obviously disagree.
And as you said “If I were offered the executioners role you can bet your sweet ass I’ll be first in line for the job, Dig!” and as I said I believe this and think you would make a great one. You shouldn’t have to clarify that statement, coming from someone of your caliber, that would be expected. It’s not as if I am insulting you, I am merely confirming your assertion, and pointing out that it differs from mine. No biggie….at least on my end. Take care.
You can’t insult me you, don’t have the power to do such even though you feebly attempt. I don’t interpret the Bible, the scriptures pertaining to murderers/rapists are right up in your face, You error greatly. Thus I find you distorted, flawed and completely unintelligent on all matters pertaining to the Bible. Your inability to see what is clearly in front of you, leads me to believe those flaws of yours, extend beyond merely the Bible. No biggie….on my end either!
Point taken. We now have a clear understanding of how we interpret each other. It’s unfortunate that you can’t wrap your mind around the fact that people can interpret God’s word differently, even if you hold one firm belief that differs from another. That narrow view of your fellow men and women must be why so many of your views expressed on this site come across as divisive and short sighted. Pity. I’ll pray for you to learn patience and develop a more open mind in this regard.
Have a great evening Elaine, and truly….take care.
So as you claim, “We now have a clear understanding of how we interpret the Bible” It’s unfortunate that you can’t peel the blinders off your eyes and see that the scriptures given to you,was such that you did NOT require an interpretation. I have no concern as to which way someone believes, what I will stand up to, is anyone, uninvitedly, throwing inuendo down and making a smart ass comment in referrence to anothers post (mine) That begs for a confrontation and you were given one. You were also offered scripture that supported my post ( I did not owe you that either) I could give a rats ass if you like/don’t like my posts but when you make your infamaous smart assed comments that only you do and oh so often to not only me, but other’s as well then you want to act like it is the other person that doesn’t allow for differing opinions. We know your type and we put you in check on it. Thanks for the prayers but don’t confuse your Bible for a stack of tarot cards. And I’ll pray for you as well, you really need help with that insecurity. You to have a great evening.
