Police searching for Jennifer Hudson’s missing nephew discovered a body of a young black boy in the SUV that authorities believe belonged to the suspect in the double-homicide investigation. Police have yet to confirm the boy’s identity.

Authorities have been on the hunt for Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew Julian King since Friday, when authorities discovered the dead bodies of Darnell Donerson, 57, and brother, Jason Hudson,29, both shot dead in their Chicago home. wowOwow reported earlier today that the "Dream Girls" actress and singer announced that she is offering $100,000 for the safe return of her beloved nephew.

Police issued an Amber Alert Friday for King. They’ve been searching for a 1994 white Chevy Suburban that FOX News reports is believed to be the "getaway vehicle" of the suspected murderer. The white SUV belongs to William Balfour, the estranged husband of Hudson’s sister, Julia Hudson. Balfour is listed as a suspect in the double homicides. He’s currently on parole, the Associated Press reports, after spending almost seven years behind bars for attempted murder, car hijacking and possession of a stolen vehicle.  Balfour, 27, is reportedly not King’s biological father and has not been charged in the latest murders. One more reason for the death penalty!

Oh no. The death penalty is both too harsh on the innocent bystander family members and too easy on the actual perpetraters. Much better to have the murderer stay in a 6x8 cell for the rest of his or her life, with occasional reminders that he or she is there because society does not believe in solving problems with death, even if the murderer does. Let the criminal suffer for the rest of his or her days, without possibility of parole. Besides, having worked in the justice system for a number of years I can guarantee that it is an imperfect system. Occasionally, all too frequently actually, an innocent person is convicted. They have not yet solved this crime.

Hi Elizabeth, I do not believe the death penalty too harsh. However all means of evidence must be exhausted, DNA is an incredible means of determining an individuals guilt or innocense and is a proven science. You state that it is too harsh on the innocent bystander family members and for some I would concur but on the flip side of that same coin there are many who feel it has served society well in that there is where many family members derive closure with the knowledge that 1) this individual is gone and 2) will never kill again. When it is proven without a doubt that one murdered someone ( the deliberate lying in wait to take their life) they have lost their right to live among society. Why should the loved ones of the murdered victim have to be reminded that this person will invariable exhaust the penal system year after year with endless appeals and all at the taxpayers expense. For more than many feel it is not right that they be able to do this alongside the possibility that some judge, who did not use good judgement and forfieted the law by allowing for an early release. How many times have we seen this very senerio take place. Charles Manson it a perfect example as it is not only the family members of those he and his posse killed but all those family members thereafter that have to be reminded of what this monster did to their loved ones. And will also have to pay for their room and board for the duration of their lives. It’s astronomical what that one case alone has cost the taxpayers in the state of California and these family members not only show up for his parole hearings, they continualy have to show up in the hopes of stoping the rest of them from achieving freedom. An endless life interupted of having to seek justice. The real problem was the death penalty being overturned in the first place, as for these families their whole life has to revolve around seeking justice or rather the insuring of the set judgement is upheld. This we all know is truly a life interrupted and one that can never move forward. If the death penalty was enacted each and everytime that it was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, guilt, I would gaurentee that we would see less and less of it as these criminals would see, we the people mean buisness and if you can’t respect the rights of others to life, you will in turn have that same right taken from you. I’ll totally agree with you with regard to our justice system being imperfect. However, it is not the law that fails it is those who loopty loop around the law, Our entire judicial system needs a revamping along with the best of lawyers and forensic testing afforded to those who can not afford it so as to prevent an innocent person being put to death.Granted that this crime has not been solved you can mark my words…It won’t be long. Have a good day. :)

To err is human. The justice system, being run by humans, will always err. Of course things should be done to minimize error, but the fact that tools like DNA analysis exist means they can be misused as well as used. Parole hearings are not available to those who are sentenced to life without possibility of parole, which is what I recommend as a replacement for the death penalty. The only reason Manson gets parole hearings is that the law in place when he was convicted had as its only options, death or life with parole. I always did think it was interesting that Manson did not personally kill any of the victims; sure he masterminded it by talking others into it. And sure he belongs behind bars for life. It is just that most people seem to think he personally slaughtered people. Cost is not the issue; the death penalty costs more to carry out that life in prison without possibility of parole. Have a good day yourself!

cosmogony’ is an odd thing—-i feel like Wegener, w/his 1912 hypothesis of ‘plate-tectonics’ not seen as fact ‘till 1962—-when i propose this/all ‘disorder’—-resultant from positive entropy, tendency of closed systems to disorder, (S) as The property of mass, not gravity (G). ‘G’ has never been proven, ‘S’ has—-while General Relativity shows ‘mass ‘warps’ (disorders) the space/time matrix, as a bowling-ball dropped on a trampoline, and objects do not ‘fall’ to the greater mass, rather follow this ‘warp’, i consider this a valid avenue of research—-why? G only relates to ‘dead-matter’, & space/time, while S may impact ‘living-systems’, and many already consider this the source of aging. so, in this view, one may look at most Earthly ‘disorder’ as simply an expected result from ‘life-in-high-mass’. fortunately one may escape such by Leaving said areas. there are numerous areas of this universe where -S, negative-entropy exist—-and they are far from ‘massive areas’. and -S has been proven, (Earle, et al) in the lab. the moon is a good start—-jump six-times further, live six-times longer—-quite reasonable—- it’s as if Life, God, whatever has placed our ‘stepping-stone’ rather conveniently—-we were there—-then turned away to slaughter—-as for ‘capital punishment’? well, a ‘cost-effective’ remedy, but what of those innocent, or even simply ‘deranged via ‘S’? as Christ said, ‘forgive them, for they do not know what they do’. a fair summation. if one considers ‘being-put-to-sleep’ for such Proven killers? that implies ‘punishment’—-i feel a life in a small cell far more punishing. and factoring in the actually innocent executed, a wiser, even more cruel finis—-
