Joan Ganz Cooney Spending MLK Jr. Day With Family

Joan Ganz Cooney
I will be with some of my grandchildren in Florida and, at lunch, we’ll discuss Martin Luther King. They know all about him from school and revere him.

I love that Joan! Good for you. That is what MLK would have wanted. Each time any of us speak his name, discuss his words or actions, we are honoring his memory and as a byproduct….him. Look at how far we have come since the 60’s. We still have a way’s to go in terms of race relations in America, but somehow today (and what will take place tomorrow) it doesn’t seem as far.
