I switched my New Mexico Blue Cross Blue Shield ($381 a month) for New York Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield ($1493 a month), and they require an in-network doctor, whom I have not yet found, as Empire wanted me to go to a doctor who has not practiced for the last four years … so my GI doctor is now my primary-care doctor, and if you don’t mind having a colonoscopy for a sore throat, he’s the greatest.
