Let Your Hair Down!

Julia Reed
Relax, let your hair down (literally — we have this gorgeous photograph of her in the June Vogue, with loose hair and a lot less foundation than she usually wears and she looks terrific), try to enjoy the campaign.

You’re kidding, right? In an age of pundits and surface conversation about the news, lack of real insight and superficiality and the mess we’re in as a nation, you’re worried about Cindy McCain’s face foundation and hair? I’m more concerned about the candidates’ foundations as human beings and politicians.

Michelle is in for a big makeover including a cast of thousands who will be working on her “message” problems. Her thesis at Princeton was basically a long rant about whitey. Bitter, angry, and of course the version I’ve seen will be or has been scrubbed. Cindy Mc. will also need to appear more natural and outgoing, and she should concentrate on her record of charitable work which has been considerable. It’s naive to think that appearance isn’t important. I agree that issues should be addressed by both women, but Michelle has anger issues that will have to be controlled if she hopes to speak to the Big tent of women Democrats many of whom are staunch Hillary supporters, and Cindy must let women know she cares about their special needs. Michelle Obama felt Hillary could not take care of her own house, blah, blah. So she has her work cut out as we all know she detests Hillary. Cindy Mc does not have these problems, and is not an angry woman. It should be interesting, especialy as we see a revised Michelle. Calling her Jackie with a Tan does not help at all and it will backfire.

Dear Cindy McCain: You have been the quiet woman standing behind the podium. Why haven’t you spoken up to show America that you support children’s organizations and that your humaintarian efforts will go on living for many years? One of the most impressive things you have done is supported the Operation Smile organization, which provides corrective facial surgeries for children with congenital defects. Why not let America know you have done this? Even though I will not be supporting your husband’s campaign, I would still offer you advice on the eve of a hectic campaign year. You should not let yourself be hidden behind the podium. You are a woman. You should not hide behind your husband just because it is politics as usual. You should be proud of your humanitarian efforts and the fact that as a woman you can make decisions. This campaign will be a rough road to ride. But, you must quit being the one targeted as the “other woman” who stole John from his first wife, and just be Cindy, the potential first lady. Show the world that as a woman, you have a voice. Sincerely….. A woman of WOW

Cindy Mc. should get looser, and that includes her hair and her attitude. She is a very good looking woman who should look more current, more natural, and more outgoing. She has to relax more and enjoy campaigning, and she’ll do very well.

Cindy - do whatever turns you on. This is your husband’s deal and though you have agreed to go along with it don’t let it run your life. No matter what you do you are going to be criticized, so just do your own thing.
