Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Diagnosed With Pancreatic Cancer

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s recovering after having surgery for pancreatic cancer. Doctors discovered a small section of cancerous cells during a routine check-up and performed the surgery this morning at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Memorial Cancer Center in New York. Ginsburg, the first Jewish woman to serve on the Court, will stay for seven-to-ten days, according to her surgeries.
This latest health scare isn’t Bader’s first time dealing with cancer — she was diagnosed with colon cancer back in 1999. Pancreatic cancer, however, proves to be one of the most fatal types, largely because it’s difficult to detect in its early stages. Luckily, Justice Ginsburg’s doctors found the cancer early on, and have, hopefully, taken care of the matter.
Our thoughts are with you, Justice Ginsburg!
