Universal Studios honcho Katherine Pope’s getting blamed for NBC’s failures.

Pope, who was promoted to Universal Studio Media President after producing the once bright Heroes, has been called the "black widow" for her overseeing the recently canceled Lipstick Jungle and Christian Slater’s short-lived spy show, My Own Worst Enemy.

While some would like to pin the failure on Ben Silverman, who co-chairs the network’s entertainment division, loads of fingers are being pointed at Pope.

One source squealed to the New York Post, "They call her the black widow. Every program she touches turns to death. She is on very thin ice. Another "insider" echoed these concerns, telling the paper, "There are internal concerns that she took her eye off the ball."
