"The Real Housewives of New York" are back, and they’ve added a leggy former model to the crew. Kelly Killoren Bensimon joined the cast of the Bravo show in its debut last night.

Kelly, the ex-wife of famous fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon (reality show alert: he has done shoots for "America’s Next Top Model"), has two daughters, penned three fashion books, and writes a regular column for a Hamptons-based magazine. Yes, she’s a perfect fit for the privileged group of gals. But, while four of the other girls live uptown, Kelly’s a downtown girl, which will no doubt add a new element to the show, now in its second season.

Surprisingly, Kelly says she had never seen the watercooler show when she agreed to be TV friends with that twisted posse, the Countess LuAnn, Bethany, Jill, Ramona, Alex (and her always there husband, Simon). Unfortunately, things aren’t off to a good start: Kelly has been dissed for being too boring. But given that she’s become fast friends with Ramona, she’s bound to be drawn into some inappropriate drama very soon. We certainly hope so.
