Ken Lewis Tells Lesley Stahl: John Thain Is Not Heir Apparent

Lesley Stahl

Hello wOw community. Because I didn’t post a "60 Minutes" preview last week of my story on the Bank of America, I’m sharing a post-view. Watch the video below for excerpts from my interview with BoA’s CEO Ken Lewis that we didn’t have enough time for in our story.

I asked him about the deal Treasury Secretary Paulson made with the country’s nine largest banks, and how he thinks Barney Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, will handle it. I also asked him for details about the purchase of Merrill Lynch and his thoughts on the $50 billion price tag.

HA BIBI
You’d be a fool giving Barney Frank any money and/or the responsibility in the handleling of any.
