What the Hell Happened to Lara Flynn Boyle?

Liz Smith

Below is a picture of Lara Flynn Boyle, once a star in “The Practice,” as she was seen this week at Mr. Chow’s restaurant in Beverly Hills.

What the hell happened to this girl? A failed romance with Jack Nicholson seems to have sent her the fluffed up lips route.

Also, can we please not make THIS site about star gossip and the latest plastic surgery gaffs? Hmmm? Give me one bastion of relief from the superficial likes of ET!

Et puis après, c’est qui cette personne la? Who cares! Age happens to all of us (ALL OF US) why not be gracious about it and stop fighting it just to end looking like a clown. Anyone seen Melanie Griffith lately? Uhg!!!!

This is so sad to her like this - I would have never known it was her if Liz had not said so. Bless her heart.

yes, this is LFBoyle. she was recently on an episode of Law & Order, & my husband & i were shocked when we saw her. that’s one of the WORST botox lip injections i’ve ever seen in my life. this woman is a train wreck … she paved the way for britney … she needs to get over herself & get real.

and BTW. lay off Liz. I believe the point that Liz is trying to make is that real, mature women don’t need botox, lipsuction, plastic surgery, blahblahblah, to make them beautiful. what’s sad about so many (esp in hollywood) is that they lose sight of what is real & become so desperate to stay young, get the roles, stay in the spotlight, whatever, that they totally lose their perspective. This should be a lesson to all of us, ladies.

Not sure what improvement she felt was needed. http://images.eonline.com/eol_images/Profiles/20061002/244.boyle.lara.09… She’s a very lovely women. But IMO does not always make the best choices. http://images.askmen.com/galleries/actress/lara-flynn-boyle/pictures/lar…

I always thought lara flynn boyle was beautiful. I dont know what the obsession is with the pouty, huge lips. She may have seen the same so called doc that did priscilla presley. Terrible job.

We are probably seeing the aftermath of her hitting her head against the wall for being the Nth in a long string of wonderful women who should have known better than to get involved with Jack Nicholson. I don’t think it’s lacking in compassion to wonder “what happened.” I reserve the right to stay nosy and indulge in gossipy speculation along with all the other good-for-me and bad-for-me things I indulge in.

I have always felt there is too much gossip about famous or infamous people and I, in fact, am tired of it. That said, I have to admit when I saw that question, my curiosity or, I hope, concern for her, got the best of me and I immediately clicked on it. I feel guilty about jumping in to see if anyone knew what is wrong with her, because I am always complaining about gossip stories; but,I watched a “Law and Order” episode with her in it and could not believe it was her. So I guess no matter how hard we protest, there is a little gossip curiosity in all of us. I truly hope she is well.

Says something about the culture we live in…. I wish all women could just be themselves and stop worrying about fat and wrinkles, and the color of our hair. I’ve had enough of youth culture. I’ve had enough of women trying to look twenty until they are embalmed. Give me wrinkles, and skin that looks like it has lived my life with me.

I’ve always known that I’d rather be physically flat out butt ugly than to mess with my face. I gained so much weight my brother will be mooing at me soon. Don’t care. Flat boobs, got’em, don’t care. No buns, don’t care. Bad hair day since 1990, not messing with it—bought some wigs. But to inject my face, have a doc chop at my nose or put in fake boobs? Well I’m so glad I have some self-esteem and I’m not working as an actress in Hollywood where, Lara is feeling the pressure. I too feel sorry for her because who knows when she’ll look in the mirror and go, “I wish I hadn’t done that.” “I was okay before this.” “My career isn’t worth this.”

I saw her on some tv show and absolutely did not recognize her as Lara Flynn Boyle. I love the title of this piece!
