What the Hell Happened to Lara Flynn Boyle?

Liz Smith

Below is a picture of Lara Flynn Boyle, once a star in “The Practice,” as she was seen this week at Mr. Chow’s restaurant in Beverly Hills.

What the hell happened to this girl? A failed romance with Jack Nicholson seems to have sent her the fluffed up lips route.

Oh Please, a lot of you need to just get over yourselves. This is relevant, as it is proof that all the advertising works…we are willing to mutilate ourselves for the sake of some PR firms sense of beauty so they can sell, sell, sell?!? And this is very much a part of our lives as older women…….I think we have all probably asked ourselves the question, should we or shouldn’t we? Everyone is starting to look the same, I’m afraid. Now imagine being in a BUSINESS, where, as a woman, so much of what you do and the roles you get are based on your LOOKS. I imagine the pressure is tremendous. I feel it in “middle aged middle America”. I fear in a few years, no one will really know what an unbotoxed, unplasticed, unrestalyned 60 year old will look like. It’s also a not so subtle form of class distinction. Lara Flynn Boyle has real body image issues….can you really say she does not have an eating disorder? I, too, feel sad that she has CHOSEN to do this to herself, because of her issues. Great topic, and one we should all be aware of, after all, we are the ones buying all the crap,i.e., products AND what the advertisers are telling us! I’m afraid of what the next generation will look like!

Although I care about people, the gossip-talk about the lives of public people adds no value to my own personal life and therefore matters none. This photo did not surprise me as I had seen her recently in a guest shot on t.v. I recall thinking that I she looked healthier. Gossip followers had been so used to seeing her in the very thin days that, of course, her looks now bring out the other side of the weight/look talk. ~vnf
