I’ve decided that the First Family should (in addition to adopting a puppeh dawg) get a GOAT! That’s right. A dog and goat. The First Goat. Yes, yes. The idea totally just CAME to me while watching some old TV special…… ;-)

Kryssi, I once had a goat and a dog and they were so great together. The goat learned to shake hands and sit just like the dog. So funny that you mentioned them together.Edith

A dog, a goat, a lamb, an elephant (Jenny) - a Hippo - (Mugsy) - a pig (Suzie) well, maybe the girls can have their own small animal farm, eh?

Can I bring my chihuahua? He’s actually a CUTE one (not all bug-eyed), I promise! Sometimes he snatches, ahem, under-garments when you’re not looking…so I recommend not leaving any on the floor…

LOL Kryssi, I also had a dog - Collie, who got hold of my underwear one time, she was just a pup - I guess she was just being a pup. She chewed up a pair of my undies, and I almost had to get her stomach pumped. Poor baby. She finally pooped them out, though! Some chihuahua’s really are cute. Like the little ‘Yo Quiero Taco Bell’ dog… Sure you can bring your chihauhua. If, I can speak for anyone else…?

I am more excited that we elected the first antiwar President during a time of war, than that he is black or that he has a cool name. OK, I am a little excited that he was born in Hawaii; I really love Hawaii. Talk about hope! A president who does not want his first move to be military. No wonder the whole world is dancing in the streets! Bombs hurt more than evildoers; bombs hurts little kids, and people getting married and lots of others. I really find him inspiring. And his campaign was run really beautifully.

Yes, Elizabeth I absolutely agree with you. Also keep in mind, Democrats most often do not engage in war, unless it is a must. Democrats do not begin wars just to help their friends gain more, monetarily, or otherwise. Democrats are more invested in working through and talking over issues, rather than shooting first, and asking later.

Serena .
Edith, I know you are much too young to drink champagne, so raise your glass of lemonade and join me in a toast: To President Obama—the hope of the current and future generations! We are in excellent hands, at least for the next four years, and we can all breathe a little easier now.

Except when I have asthma, then It’s not easy for me to breathe, Serena. But maybe Obama will even make the air cleaner. By the end of his secong term, maybe. Edith

Edith, my asthma has been a nightmare this past year for some reason, but I noticed my attacks have been few and far between since November 4th. A coincidence, or just Autumn dying out in preparation for winter? Winter: Reason #8932765 why I am moving to California…

I understand Edith, I have asthma too. Just keep your inhaler ready and your fingers crossed!

Serena .
Wait a minute … strike that … if your fingers are crossed it will make using the inhaler difficult.

Wouldn’t that be another great American success story- from dog pound (and impending death) to the white house dog, front page news coverage and a place in history books!
