OMG. I can’t answer this question in the general; however, in the specific (with regard to the case in India where the couple prayed to God and visited religious sites, sold all their worldly goods and charged the rest on a credit card to get fertility drugs in case God didn’t come through — SO THE WIFE COULD GIVE HER HUSBAND A MALE HEIR): How does this work in India when there’s nothing left to inherit? Just asking.

Lily - that was my question. If they sold everything to have an heir - what the h—- is he the heir of? Sounds like the poor son is going to inherit a lot of debt. This couple definately needs the bumper sticker “I am spending my kids inheritance”. lmao

Lily, I am also just askin’ … and the answer is no … “is there a cousin available ?” HERE IS THE THING … we don’t need men to have babies nor do we need grannies to have babies …. hhhmmmm, we can plant our eggs or sperms in any god dang fertile field we want. I love you grannie but NO, and I am sorry, A Rod (a rod who?) NO, we don’t need you either … Everyone here needs to sign up for Bio 101 …. move it along, Sister Agnes is not happy to give you guys summer school biology 101 ….

A great woman once wrote, “You gotta have enough bread for plane tickets to India to learn to give up material things like plane tickets to India.” ;-P Ah, yes - the world continues to fill itself with more paradoxical conundrums than it knows what to do with! At least it is enough, hopefully, to inspire every (thinking) person to write/blog to their heart’s content. Perhaps eventually, seemingly simple questions such as this will get everyone more in tune to their brain muscles and there will be no place for irrationality any longer. …Then again, we may as well all die of boredom once irrationality has been phased out. As for the original topic, only two things matter: as long as they keep the hell away from MY uterus, anyone can do what they will with theirs, and 2.) it would be nice, though, if people wouldn’t abuse their God-given reproduction systems by breeding idiocy and rearing/encouraging voluntary ignorance. (Or maybe instead it’d just be simpler to lobotomize the logical, rational, and reasonable parts of my brain…)

Actually I got it from the Appearing Nitely video… I don’t have the “On Stage” album simply because a lot of what’s on it seems to be on Appearing Nitely. But don’t worry, I ordered it anyway just this weekend…when I realized they don’t make VHS players for cars. How can one resist a Lily Tomlin album, anyway? I think I’ve played “Modern Scream” in my car so many times it needs to be resurfaced. I blame my friends; they’re the ones always asking me to put on Suzie Sorority or to “play the Rubber Freak again!” Evidence that the material is Timeless.

Maybe the intention is to have a son in order to collect the dowry from his arranged marriage. Depending on the father’s social status, the dowry could more than make up for their debt.
