Lily That was fun. Enjoyed it sooo much. Besides your introduction for Xanadu, my favorite shot was studying your script with glasses and towel on your head. You looked wonderful.

YAY! Fantastic :) I’m so glad Lily did this for us wowowow folks. I was so disappointed missing the Tony’s - so this inside scoop definitely made up for it!

Elizabeth Bennett
Thanks Lily! I took my sister to see you in Search for Signs of Intelligent Life on Broadway in 1986, so ever since my sister has thought maybe I wasn’t so stupid after all. So, it was really fun to see you at the Tony’s last night. And maybe that is why someone associates you with the eighties—you were the Broadway high point of the eighties! Thanks also for the home movie; that was a nice behind the scenes view.

Thanks Lily. I already sent a note to you and Whoopi through the WoW staff thread. I repeat, you were great. Don’t you just love the magic that is Broadway?

Lily, You have amazing energy. Very generous to provide a peek behind the scenes. You look terrific even with a towel on your head! Great necklace, too. Thank you.

Such a fun video. Lily, I think you should be the eyes and ears of America, taking your video everywhere — into ladies rooms, the meat packing department at Costco, behind the scenes everywhere, but I’m not sure I agree with the comments you need to talk about Tim Russert. He’s gotten a wonderful and well-deserved homage from those in his profession. As my mother used to say, “What’s it your business?”

Lily, I have one question about Tony night—where was Jane?

Cath c, My guess is that Jane was back at the Hotel watching tv!! :)

Jane Wagner
Serena, don’t you think it adds to Jane’s mistique never to be seen anywhere but on Edith Ann’s blog site? Lil

Ah! Indeed. :) Smart cookie she is!

Miss Tomlin, something about this post has been bugging me since you responded (i.e., I wasn’t sure how to “read” it—you know how things can lose a lot in translation within e-mails and postings and such). Anyway, I hope I didn’t offend you or Jane by the “at the hotel watching tv” comment. I was only making reference to Jane’s “Confessions of a Couch Potato.” I apologize if any offense was taken—I didn’t intend it at all. I adore you two! Whew. I feel better now. :)
